But now, here he was, on a path that might as well have been liquid, staring at an exceedingly embarrassing first day.
It startles him, a little, when the voice calls to him and he finds himself sliding more - cane no help in indicating the slippery conditions. But then the owner of the voice (he hopes) is taking his hand, leading him to safety. He could kiss them.
"Yeah, this is my first day here." Flynn says, instead of doing that. "I didn't realise the path got so icy."
It's as she continues to talk that Flynn realises she hasn't helped him because he was blind (gratifying), but rather because he must have looked like a newly-born gazelle (less gratifying).
"No tractors, sorry." This is admitted with a laugh when she cuts herself off - clearly she's just put two and two together. He does, however, fish his phone out of his coat pocket, unlocking it to display the class schedule he'd had his aunt set as his homescreen for situations exactly like this. "The music block? Block, uh, B, I think?"
