I'm in love with your writing! The six headcanons you've written are so amazing! But like can you imagine if Crowley or Aziraphale's s/o is an angel or demon and knew the queens, and were really close with them. And when she/they/he gets the part just starts crying because they are going to be telling the story of their dear friend. And they just break down into his arms, and it's just all fluffy.
I love this, I wanna make it a demonic s/o tho and poly because lol why not? Also, I used gender neutral language as I always do, but the reader presents as someone who was AFAB.
You had managed to worm your way into Henry’s court as an adviser
Something you weren’t expecting due to the more…feminine nature of your chosen body
But nonetheless, you got in
So, you knew all of his six wives. You tempted two of them successfully (not that Henry ever knew) but for the most part? You were close friends with all of them.
When Anne and Catherine were sent to be executed, it rocked you hard. You spend their final nights together, keeping their minds off of what was to come and searing everything about them to your memory
When Jane died*, you spent every waking hour at her bedside as the king requested, but you knew death was coming soon for her. Even in her delirium, you made sure she was content and safe
With each passing death of all six of your friends, you tried to remember every little thing you could about them. Their quirks, their passions, what made them tick.
And then, centuries later, you were with your partners and saw it
The audition calling for a new musical about the wives of Henry VIII.
Crowley knew you were close with all six of Henry’s wives, you hadn’t met Aziraphale prior to that and it was never really brought up
But Crowley knew that you were going to audition
The audition process was brutal, having to sing and dance whilst making sure to do your girls proud was beginning to take a strain on you
If any other demon had met you, they just would have thought you were being devilish and the short temper was just you being your demonic self
After all, demons aren’t known for their patience
But Crowley and Aziraphale knew different
They knew it was emotionally taxing for you, especially as you started going through each round, getting closer and closer to your goal
For once, none of you used a miracle to get what you wanted
You wanted to earn the role in your own right
Finally, you finished the final round of auditions and you were sent on your way.
When you got home, you just flopped down onto your bed and let the world rotate around you, both Aziraphale and Crowley coming in to check on you as you tried to fight back the nerves
When you got the call, you were alone.
The news was too overwhelming as you thank the person calling and just sat on the edge of the bed, tears welling and eventually falling
Aziraphale is the one who finds you and rushes by your side, murmuring words of endearment and comfort, assuming you hadn’t gotten the part as Crowley walks into the room
Both your boys congratulate you as you continue to cry quietly, happily, but quietly.
Crowley tries to comfort you, but leaves with the promise of booze and food when Aziraphale shoots him a look and your angel moves to sit by your side
“Now, what’s going on dear? Why those tears, mm?”
You explain how close you were with all of the Six
And that actually telling their story, being a part of it?
Was an honour but also very emotional
That you knew them so well, you didn’t want to stuff up and dishonour their memory
Aziraphale listens quietly before moving to place a kiss to your temple.
“My love, that’s exactly the reason why you are going to be so fabulous on opening night, and every night.”
They are there opening night, ready to support you. After months of emotional rehearsals that always end with some melancholy on your behalf, you were ready to perform your heart out
By the end, you were in your shared dressing room and you didn’t cry, you don’t frown or think about what you could have done different
Crowley and Aziraphale pick you up around the back and the three of you go out for dinner to celebrate your achievement and you spend most of the night opening up with your stories from behind the castle walls.
You loved your run in Six and the memories it brought forward, but what you loved the most about it was the ability to be open to your partners about your life before there were the three of you
*I read somewhere that Jane most likely died of eclampsia, that’s what I’m basing her death around
