Title of my new song: “We are never getting back together like ever like oh my god that’s so horribly final how could I even say a thing like that it’s not like I can predict the future although honestly we probably won’t I’m pretty confident about that actually but it’s not like it matters at all in the larger scheme of things or even the smaller scheme of things in six months this won’t even matter not to me anyway it could still matter to you if you’re going to be a fucking sissy about it but really it’s ridiculous for me to pretend like this matters at all and isn’t just one more stupid pathetic minuscule unimportant little teenage drama”
It’s inspired by Taylor Swift. It should be going on the radio in a few weeks.
Gosh you like docs and some *really* good music but you like the Beatles WHY THE BEATLES ???
Oh man, where do I start? HahaWell firstly, I’m of the opinion that not everyone should like the same music, I’m fine with that, and I don’t like bands that everyone really rates so that’s fine, you’re entitled to not like them. But I don’t think you can really question why I like them. They’re my all time favourite band, and they always will be. They’re the first band I properly got into, got really obsessed with them, all their music and their personalities. They inspired me to pick up the guitar, which I’m still playing now and hope to make a career out of. In my opinion, Lennon/McCartney are one of, if not the top songwriting partnership of all time, though like I said that’s just opinion. When they started out, the equipment was so poor for recording and live performance, yet their records are some of the best-sounding of all time, purely just because of how good they are. So many bands wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for them, even if they’re not a direct influence. They changed the whole way music and songwriting was viewed, I mean they just changed everything. I’m just really surprised you picked me up on The Beatles of all bands, surely they’re the most obvious band to like? It’s fine to not like them, but to not understand what they did is something different. I’m not having a go at you, I’m just very surprised that you seemed so shocked that I like them, especially if you look at the other music I like, which you obviously have done :) The Beatles were barely a band for ten years and they changed everything. Every album is completely different, musically and also the styles that go with it, you can really see them progress and change in such a short space of time, and they were (and still are) a step above most other bands in terms of songwriting ability, their importance can not be understated. Apart from all of that, I’m also fascinated by their lives and personalities too, especially Lennon, but that’s just me being interested :) thank you for this, it’s one of the most thought-provoking questions I’ve had and I still don’t feel I’ve answered it, I could go on for ages about The Beatles and why I like them but I don’t feel I need to justify myself - it’s The Beatles!
