Being a Christian requires being different and having higher standards in many areas of our lives. Our daily decisions should be based on godly goals, not worldly ones. We are to avoid excessive indulgences, foul language, gossiping, endorsing movies, or music that degrades people, and using God’s name in vain. We should spend time daily in prayer and reading our Bible in order to grow closer to our loving Father. This is how we can discern His will for us and have the strength to carry it out. God desires our happiness. When we have good and loving standards to live by it brings us that happiness.

Wrong and Impossible Standards
Some people are so vain! They even want me to be one! I know I should be judged because sometimes I feel lofty, especially when I comment on famous people, even though I can’t be compared to them. Obviously, I live a normal life. Thus, most of my standards are also normal, that is, my physical appearance. What’s so annoying is that they compare me to those people I judge! Seriously? It’s unfair…
FAQ’s of Dating
Working on a blog segment on my website in which I answer frequently asked questions about dating. I have a few, but I would love some more (not promising that I will always have the best answer, but I will definitely pray over them and give it my best shot), so if you have one, let me have it!
What need there is that the minister of the Gospel should continually face himself with his Savior, to know how he stands before Him, lest he fail to measure up to His standard, and having preached to others should himself become castaway.

The Message of the Cross
1 Corinthians 1:23 "but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,"
Not only did Jesus die for our sins, but he was crucifiedfor our sins. Jesus died in the most shameful and humiliating way possible, purposely chosen by his persecutors so that he would be robbed of any dignity or power. But this was all part of God's plan, because this moment that is supposed to be of extreme shame is a moment of extreme glory for Christians. God demonstrated that the worldy standards of shame and weakness mean nothing to him. They are futile because God sets the standard.
1 Corinthians 1:27 "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord' "
The Future ;)
Hey future husband. you're cool. I really don't care if you have a lot of money, or what race you are, or if you understand me when i sign at you or not. I don't care if you have what people would consider a nice voice, as long as you're willing to sing with me. You can like weird or gross things (like a strange fascination with snails or something) if that's the uniqueness God has put in you. Please eat my cooking even if it's bad, but if it's really bad we can just make some eggs instead :). My main point is that no matter who you are or where you're at right now, I'm praying for you. I just want you to love and seek after God with your whole heart, and that you won't accept anything less from this girl right here. And when it's God's timing, His heart will smile about His plans coming to pass. Thanks for waiting.
Love,
the awkward girl with the ring on her left ring finger, waiting for God to show her the right man who will give her a new one on her wedding day :)
