Conscience is not a lawgiver. It does not teach us what is right and wrong. It functions as a judge to apply the law that has been given to it. Conscience is not an infallibly safe guide, because it can be trained to obey wrong standards. Some people can commit the most horrible deeds and feel they are doing what is right (John 16:1-3).

Teenagers and the MEDIA.
Today, I went to church. And A bunch of people (about 5) from the United States came to teach us about the media and how it affects us and our daily lives. It was a really good session which is why I'm going to share it with you guys.
Most of the teenagers these days are living with a lot of lies. For example, your enemy says that 'you are not pretty enough' or 'you are not smart enough' and you actually believe in them. One small lie is easy to ignore. But once you start believing in more and more lies, it is hard to run away from. These words are not true. God made you exactly the way you are. You are his masterpiece.
"For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. -Ephesians 2:10 "
What does the media tell us?
Most of the movies today are about a girl finding her perfect guy and everything just falls into place. Take "Lizzy McGuire" for example. A pretty girl just so happens to go to Rome at the right time, find the perfect guy and the right time, and that guy so happens to be a famous celebrity. Everything just falls into her lap like that. And it all started because she went away from her family and her teachers.
Most of the movies are telling us that we have to find a perfect guy or become a perfect girl in order to get a boyfriend. It's not true. I mean, has that "Lizzy McGuire" story actually happened to anyone in real life? no. So don't let the media affect your life, about how you think about yourself or anything. It's all fake anyway.
We learnt another session about purity but that's another long story. I'll post it if I have time. Basically this is it. If you feel bad about yourself, you are not insulting yourself. You are insulting God, who created you in His likeness. And God does not create junk. You're beautiful just the way you are. And I still have to tell that to myself everyday :)

Have a great day guys! :D God bless you.
