Regrann from @_aquaticadventures - During our soft-in-water encounters with humpback whales, we maintain a safe distance from the whales but sometimes they have other ideas and like to get a closer look at us ..... the adrenaline kicks in a little and your instinct is to kick those fins and back away but staying calm and trusting the whales is the best way to ensure a safe and super special underwater encounter. These two adult whales were “dancing”, a courtship behavior that has them swimming close together, sometimes twirling as if dancing....they included our group of swimmers in their dance for quite some time, leaving us all breathless with awe, excitement, and (to be honest) a little nervousness!
