M I R A C L E S

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)

When I read this verse I feel like Jesus is reminding us that when we pray, God will answer. (He’s reminding us to pray!) It’s that simple. Although we know this we sometimes take it for granted or we just get used to the idea that maybe our prayers won’t be heard and answered. (Yes, they will—all of ours do).

We might even consider our prayers too ambitious, that we’re asking for too much. Well, Jesus didn’t say ask moderately and it will be given to you or ask for certain things, minimal things. He told us to ask WHATEVER you wish.

I hate the phrase “I wish” because it’s not a conversation with God. 

There’s even a phrase “I pray not wish because I have a God, not a genie.”

So I love that Jesus phrased it ask (in prayer) for whatever you wish. He knows that sometimes we’re afraid to ask God for things or think He’s too busy or will think it’s too much, too crazy, that we don’t deserve it, etc.

Jesus said to ask for whatever you “wish.”

He’s reminding us to ask in pray because God answers prayers not wishes. He knows our thoughts before we think them. And before that, He knows all we need and want but He still waits for us to ask Him.

Why?

Because prayers develop a close relationship with between us and God. He’s our God, Father, Creator, Savior, and friend. He is the only friend that sticks closer than a brother. He wants to have this close relationship with us. But we have to want it too. We have to want it and seek it. This is built through prayer, constant prayer—prayer for any and everything. Prayer to talk to God. About whatever, even just to say hi. He’s always there but He wants us to remember that and be aware of it.

Then, when we pray and not wish; when we seek His Presence daily, 24/7; when we trust God enough to boldly pray…

Then our “wish” will be granted.

Better yet, our prayers will be answered! Better yet, He’ll answer back with MIRACLES! 

Miracles happen when you believe...

Our unstoppable GOD will answer back with miracles!

Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ!!!!!

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

G r a t i t u d e

We must come to God with gratitude. To thank Him for everything He’s given us, everything He’s forgiven us. He is GOD the ONLY GOD. And yet He chose to create us. In His Own Image. And loves us. And forgives us. And provides for us. And never leaves us. He is our Creator. Our Father. Our Savior. Our King of kings and Lord of lords. our GOD. The Almighty. We have everything to thank Him for. We must always come to Him with a heart full of gratitude.

Yay it’s the weekend!!

This week has been pretty chill, no tests and minimal homework. Well guess it’s a given since we just had finals last week :P

Our chem teacher blew up on us today, I have never seen her so mad before. Like a lot of people forgot to bring books, some people were on their cell phones, and apparently we wasted a lot of time. Well after that no one talked for the rest of the class. Guess that’s a way of getting everyone to be productive, was able to finish all homework in class. 

Tennis conditioning again today!! Again not as many people as we had hoped, only 5 people showed up, which is pretty bad. People are getting lazy these days :P  Had a talk with the captain and he said I pretty much  guaranteed I get 6 doubles on Varsity next year :) which I guess is pretty nice. Although If I practice hard I could get higher. 

Saturday tomorrow, talked to my small group about maybe having small group hangouts on Saturday’s now instead of Oasis. Noticed a few people have been coming less and less too Oasis on Sundays. Might be a good chance to meet them again and ask how their doing :P

Going to probably write something for the Vine, I think I have an idea. Shared it before with my small group, but I think it has good meaning. ^.^

Prayer requests:

- Pray for Oasis, that God will lead and bring more people too him even though times have changed

-Pray for my friend Maple, he’s currently a bit sick. Pray that he get’s better soon, so he can praise God and serve him more!

-Pray for me, that I may be more open to other people, so I may more fully spread Gods word.

-Pray for my small group, that they may see a need for God, and that God may work in them through me. 

-Pray for yourself, and Pray to God and Thank him for all He has done for you :)
