About a month ago...

All that was on my mind was suicide How I felt like it was my end Life wasn’t for me I would make things easier I felt like it was my ‘duty’ and that it was what people wanted me too do I felt unwanted by many Ignored by most Unloved by all But then this amazing thing happened I prayed I asked God to explain to my why I felt this way, to make it stop, and to show me how to bring myself up from this hole I was dying in. Nothing happened. The next day came and went and I prayed again, begging on my knees, sobbing into my arm, needing help. And nothing happened. For five nights. Then on the sixth night I asked for forgiveness and wisdom I sat on the cold grass and just talked I put away my fears and anxieties and opened up a true relationship with God. When I stood up from my spot it was like I had lost all the weight on my heart. And that night as I went to bed, I cried again. But this time I was not depressed nor sad I had been over come with joy and peace My faith in the Lord had grown and my trust that he controlled everything in my life became a blessing and not a curse. I found my Lord once again Up on a hill, under an old ash tree, on the freezing cold grass, looking out over Lake Erie.

It has been 22 days since my last suicidal thought, and everyday I wake up knowing that God will be with me no matter what. I find courage and wisdom through His words, and I’ve become a much more joyful person. The Lord is my saviour and always will be. When I am kicking and screaming, God will be there to hold me and give me strength, when I am overwhelmed with happiness, I will know that God has given this too me.

Some may say this is false, but I say I was once a woman who only saw the flower, but I am now someone who sees the jungle.
