God loves you queen.
Scanning whatever room you are in, face beat, smelling like Chanel… as you try to keep it together looking around at the other women who look like they have it all together more than you. Trying to sit up straight like you were taught... Feeling less like a lady and everything within you and around you is falling apart and crumbling. That brave face we put on at work, at church, as we cook, as we clean, as we drive. That brave face we put on when our soul is hurting and God feels far from us. No one knows how much it aches and we hold it in so deep that it begins to haunt us like a bad dream. Women go through so much… I'm aware my peers do for sure. Look good, but don’t feel good and don’t talk about the thoughts in our head or the things we think no one will understand. The pain, the warfare… the obstacles we fear and hide with a new outfit and earrings. Look good, but don’t feel good. Sitting up high, smelling of vanilla while we pray to God to grip us just for even a few more seconds. I realize it's important to check on the women in our lives. The women we think have it together and more importantly check in with yourself. You deserve love… and God's love is the best love at all. Even when God feels far, he is near. Through the anger, pain and unforgiveness… he is still with us. As women… young women especially I think we see God as a conditional Father when he truly loves us. He will correct us and teach us to not do certain things for our protection, but God doesn’t wave us off because of our flaws. We oftentimes see God as a daddy who loves us on condition. He is near and he loves us. Oh, how painful it is to be in a full room of people and still feel alone. But through that pain, there is a lesson. And you are God’s daughter. He absolutely loves you and wants to wipe the tears and sit with you. You don’t have to have it all together, you don’t have to be perfect. You’re fine just the way you are in god’s eyes, and he loves you enough to correct you. I feel in my heart God hurts when us ladies hurt, and he loves us with a love that can’t be understood with our own comprehension. The things that hurt bad, the things we don’t talk about, the things we hold in… those are the things God wants to hear about even though he already knows about it. Don’t complicate it and let God be who you go to. He loves you queen. Don’t give up and remember how much God truly loves you.
