What is that? She hadn’t meant to be rude -- hadn’t meant to be invasive -- but her limb had moved of its own accord when she shot her hand out to catch his own. Though sure, her actions oozed hesitance when skin met skin. It was odd, to fear something she didn't understand. There were far more terrifying things she did understand, after all. But...
Whatever this was felt strangely familiar and foreign to her all at the same time. It wasn’t she that recognized this -- this... whatever it was, but her magic. It drew her to him like a magnet -- had focused her attention until nothing else registered.
Ever so slowly, she moved to touch it. Perhaps maybe graze a finger pad over the skin, but she didn’t get far as her attention then snapped to the male whose hand she now held. Blinking slowly as if she couldn’t see him clearly before shaking her head. Help? “No... I do not require your assistance.” Then, like he hadn’t just spoken to her, “What... are you?”
