A lot of people draw them with a hoodie and hat on, so just imagine those are off and shoved into the closet in the corner of the room they wake up in.

Builderman wanted to make them feel them feel safe so they'd let their guard down, so having them wear something cosy like they're about to go sleep seems like it would help that.

Then later, after the Fear encounter/on the way to defeat Hatred they're back to wearing their usual clothes again- it's not safe here anymore (was it ever really?).

back on my Rogurt Block Tales AU bullshit

after the events of demo 4- before going back to talk to Shedletsky, the group decided to split up briefly, mostly just to get a moment of rest

Zane and Noah spent most of that time stocking up on whatever items and cards they thought might be useful

Ronin and Tai completely disregarded that and spent a large amount of that time just fighting Finn McCool, and mostly losing.
