Gogomoa + Kokomoa x Pokemon!
Hey everyone! I drew a gogomoa badly.
Will post more soon.
Bishaten Analysis
Hello Hunters! Welcome to a new analysis post, last time I talked about the Somnacanth, and today, it’s Bishaten’s time to shine!
The cursive text are theories. I’ll remake this post when new information will be released by Capcom. So let’s begin!
Bishaten, the Tengu Beast! A Fanged Beast with a peculiar tail that looks pretty dangerous.
“A monster with a distinctive tail. While it is omnivorous, it has a preference for fruit, and keeps various fruits with all kinds of effects in its belly pouch. An incredibly curious beast, it enjoys playing tricks on people, and has been seen to bat fruit at its prey using its tail.”
Heavily inspired by a Tengu, a Yokai or Kami (a lesser god) of the Japanese folklore, a spirit of the mountain famous for the long nose and bird-like features. The tengu was referred as a violent being that foreshadowed war. But in recent times was considered a protector of the forest and mountains.
A forest dwelling, winged monster with four digits paws that help it grab onto trees and rocks, making it a great climber. It is the first known Fanged Beast that is able to fly, since the Kecha Wacha use it’s wing-like membrane to glide.
The Bishatens have a peculiar tail, that ends in a five digit hand used to lift the Beast above the ground. It can also be used to grab onto branches and logs, letting the monster to sleep and eat without being exposed to the threats of other monsters that aren’t able to fly.
It is an omnivorous creature, but seems fond of a peculiar fruit similar to a persimmon, an existing fruit cultivated in Asia (Japan as well) with an incredible sweet flavour. It stores them inside a pouch that has on its belly, similar to a marsupial. It seems that this fruits can be used by the Bishaten as a buff during battles.
It will also throw these fruits at hunters and other monsters, it is unknow if they have some sort of effect on those getting hitted by them.
But it seems that these fruits can leave boosting clouds on the ground, maybe it happens when they don’t collide with the target of the attack
As seen in the short bow showcase released by Capcom, it’s weapons lack of elemental powers. But Bishaten seems to be able to use “wind” with the aid of it’s wing.
The monster’s green and white fur help it to camouflage in the foliage of the forest, probably to ambush it’s prey or escape bigger predators like Deviljhos or Rathians. Bishaten’s cubs probably hide in the foliage of the trees, and maybe, like the Gogomoa, stay on the backs of their parents while moving before growing up and fly on their own.
Since the Bishaten has a belly pouch like a Marsupial, there’s a little chance that Bishaten doesn’t lay eggs like other monster. But I’m just daydreaming.

Well, the theory time is over. I hope you enjoyed it like! if you want me to do this kind of analysis for other monster feel free to ask me. Next time I have to decide, maybe I’ll try to uncover the secret of the Flagship! The tiger of Malice, Magnamalo! See ya!
