Day 8 - Constructs

Obviously a TotK prompt, given what came out this year. Thankfully, Wind Waker is amazing that way and still has an answer. The Great Arbiter, the final judge to measure the worthy, Gohdan, the boss of the Tower of the Gods! As a weird machine thing, he counts as a construct, right?

Loved the feel of the dungeon. It felt so alien compared to every other dungeon in the game. Plus, Gohdan carrying the long tradition of head/hand bosses in Nintendo games, on top of him having a cool design.

Linktober day 18! Tfw you keep dying cause you keep running out of arrows lol (I know he drops more but then it almost resets the fight lol) - Also in hindsight Gohdan is DEFINITELY Zonai tech lol, seeing Zonai-esque things in Wind Waker is so bizarre and even stuff around this boss area resembles Shiekah tech to me (Looking at Naboris in particular with the shapes/lightning barrier around the arena)

Linktober 2020 day 3: time, mechanical, enemy

Late again, whoops. Headcanon time! The calamity 10000 years ago may be implied to be the last time Ganon rose... but really it was a much earlier cycle. Like two or three heroes after Skyward earlier and before basically every other known one. The tech was mostly buried but some things remained, mostly in hands other than the Hyrulians, like the Gorons who used beamos in their mines until the ability to make or maintain them was finally lost. The temple of time beamos are a hyrulian design, pre-sheikah banishment and kept in a timeless place, the tower of the gods stuff is a blend of sheikah and hyrulian... whatever the hell the Zonai were. Anything else is either maintained by later peoples or reverse engineered by them.
