been spending so much time where I belong - in the forest!! i love taking off my boots so I can hop around in the river and get my paws wet 🐾🌲
no talking, ears perked up to hear every rustle in the bushes, nosing through the grass to find deer tracks, venturing off-trail when something catches my eye - solo hiking is the best!!
as a pup I was kinda obsessed with outdoor survival, identifying different animals tracks, finding shelter, learning from my elder wolves, and knowing which trees and plants will feed me!! now, as a grown wolf, i love to use and test my own instincts - its so species affirming to trust myself in this way.

i went on my longest and most difficult hike EVER today and I had so. much. FUN!!! 5 different lakes + a river along the way, wild blueberries to snack on and 20kms of beautiful canadian forests :D I love being so deep in the woods RAAAAAA there's nothing like it >:3c
it really feels so good to rely on your own body and instincts. so so thankful to be able to spend so much time in the forest this summer 🌲☀️🐾
