i just had a silly idea ehe. marriage proposal but instead of a ring it's a crown

the person making the proposal must find the combination of gems that remind them of their significant other the most and arrange them in the desired pattern, trying to capture their loved one's essence. paying attention to every detail, making a lot of sketches until one is perfect and, ultimately, getting a designated blacksmith to do the job

probably only common among royal families, since that's who wears crowns :P but it could also be a gesture from a simple citizen who feels like their s/o is enough of a prince(ss) to receive one

about the cost.... yeah probably very expensive. but as i said it's probably a royal practice so that's not much of an issue

although i think a better concept would be to make it be a god thing.... gods and demigods wearing beautiful crowns made by their other half

or probably just a thing of a specific ship you have in mind. they're simply too special for a ring........
