Does anybody else feel cheated by the Wizarding World Gold Subscription?
I ask this after scanning July in my Keys and Curios book... diary... whatever! Which has been consistently disappointing since I received it in November 2019.
So aside from my book/diary, I can hand on heart say that I have taken advantage of the perks of my subscription once, and that was to buy a Weasley jumper back in December. So for seven months, I have not benefitted one iota from the 59.99 I spent subscribing for exclusive content.
The content seems to be primarily aimed at the movie-goers rather than book purists, like myself. I have never considered the movies canon, so understandably I feel irate whenever there is “exclusive content” released, only for it to be another bEhInD tHe sCeNeS look at that time Emma Watson punched Tom Felton in the face which has been available on YouTube for years so why am I being a total mug and paying nearly sixty quid for something I can get for free?
If I knew for one moment that my putting down my favourites prior to subscribing would amount to nothing, I would not have bothered spending my money in the direction of JK Rowling; an abhorrent woman, whom I had a great deal of affection for prior to Fantastic Beasts, whose opinions I respect less and less every day.
I put down Bellatrix Lestrange as my favourite character because she is. If JK Rowling only had the intention to give us biographies on characters we already know so much about, why even ask us which character we prefer, which places we like, which animal is our favourite, etc.
I know that JK Rowling despises Bellatrix, but if she can give a full biography to an equally “horrid” character some years ago on Pottermore, then why has she shirked on biographies of the Black sisters, Lucius Malfoy; characters that are equally fascinating and enigmatic?
I ask just one question; what encourages you to subscribe to Wizarding World Gold?
