One day difference on my trident maple.

Root work on the wysteria and repotted into cedar grow box for at least this year.

Also a picture of my first ficus. I am currently trying to train it into an exposed root tree.

The Hawthorne I ended up leaving alone. The buds have already started to open and I was worried that it would be too late to do major work so I guess it will stay in the pot it’s in until I can slip pot it into something a little bigger.

First ever trim on this guy. This is a cutting from my original ficus bonsai. I'm attempting a formal upright style after doing a bit of reading of that John Naka book. Yes, I know this tree has little to no taper right now. Yes, I know it looks like shit. I pruned back hard to try and get the ramification going. Hope I didn't screw up too much. I got 23 cuttings into the dirt off this guy too so hopefully they'll all take and I can fuse them together. I have another ficus cutting from the original tree that's a little bit smaller than this, I moved it into a large patio pot today. I'm going to try my damndest to just LEAVE THE TREE ALONE for a few years and let it get massive.

My golden gate ficus Purchased November 2016. Defoliated in January 2017 as soon as we got warm weather after I read a post on an @adamaskwhy blog

Temporarily moved into my office at work. I think this is about the only tree I have that will survive indoors….I may decide against it after all, I’m torn because every fiber in me says “it’s a tree, it needs to be outside, idiot.” But you know, I also like having it at work.
