Golden Note: Act 2.
Setting: When Li thinks the coast is clear, she heads over to visit her mother and brother not knowing that she’s being followed.
Li kept flying around until she thought Armis was gone. She kept looking around as she landed. She growled some before going to teleport, thinking she was alone. As soon as she went to do so, Armis grabbed hold of her, grinning some. He knew all he had to do was wait, and wait he had. She let out a startled shriek when she was suddenly grabbed. It was too late to stop her teleportation, so she dragged Armis with her to Rosey's front door. She cursed before going to lash out at Armis. Armis ducked, jumping back some. "So this is where she's been hiding." "No." Li snarled, her tail flicking in agitation. She moved to send an immobilization spell at Armis. He quickly threw one of his knives at her, jumping out of the way again in case she tried to attack him again. She moved out of the way when he threw his knife at her. "Leave my mom alone." She snarled at him. "I don't see why I should." He stated before looking around, starting to ignore her. "Because I'll rip you to shreds if your children don't." Rosey stated, leaning against the doorway as she had opened the door when she heard them. "Now get off my property" Li glared at Armis as she stood in front of Rosey. Armis glared back before recovering and grinning some. "Very well." He had time to kill from what it felt like, so why not wait. "Just point me towards the closest town and I'll be on my way." Rosey growled and bared her teeth at him. "No. You go back to your own world." She snapped. "How am I supposed to start fresh if everyone just keeps kicking me out?" He snapped, picking a direction away from her house and starting to walk. "I'll just find one on my own." "Because your mind will implode when you see the type of technology is on this world." Rosey growled, watching him. Li frowned, watching him before looking back at Rosey. Rosey just nodded at her to tell her to follow Armis. Armis stopped and looked back at her. "What? So busy you have to send my daughter to watch me?" He mocked. "Yes. Thanks to you." Rosey growled, glaring at him. "Go ahead on your little adventure." She had to find a new hiding place for Kelazi and Remis while Armis was preoccupied with sightseeing. Li snarled at Armis and shifted a bit. He glared at both of them before finally walking again. If he had managed to hide from Li before he would do it again. Even if Rosey decided to move them he was fairly certain Rem would at least come looking for him. Rosey glared at Armis, watching them walk away. She waited until they were out of sight before going back inside, closing the door behind her. "Remis! Kelazi!" Remis looked out of the door to his room, blinking some. He had sort of wondered who was at the door, but didn't really expect to get an answer to it. He had sort of hoped it would be Li since he wasn't allowed to visit anymore.Kelazi also looked out her door of her room, wondering what was going on. Rosey gave them a stern look. "It's Armis. He's found this place. He knows you're here." She said. Kelazi tensed up at Armis's name. Remis frowned some, and knew he should be worried, but he just wasn't seeing why he should be. He could understand for his mom though. His dad had probably come just to harass her. Kelazi walked out of her room to go down to stand with Rosey. "So... Are you going to have me go somewhere else?" She asked. Rosey sighed and rubbed her head. "If I can think of a place where you guys can hide." "I don't want to leave." Remis protested. He hated the fact that they had to leave every time Armis came by.Rosey looked at Remis. "You can stay if you really want to, but your mom needs to go so that she doesn't get raped by Armis again." She said, crossing her arms. Kelazi flinched when Rosey mentioned rape, her wings tensing up. His tail twitched some when she mentioned it as well, and he glanced over at his mother. "Can I?" He wanted to make sure it was really okay. If it was then he could always sneak out and see what else was out there besides Armis. Kelazi frowned some, looking at Remis. "...If... you really want to..." She said, sad that both of her kids didn't want to be around her. Rosey suddenly snapped her fingers. "That's it! Teh Hangout! I'll bring you there." She said and grabbed Kelazi before going to teleport to Teh Hangout. Rem watched them leave , wanting to make sure they were gone before running to the door. Maybe he could still catch up with Armis. Rosey came back as soon as Kelazi was settled in. She frowned when she noticed Remis wasn't around. She guessed he was going to see his sister and father. It wasn't her business to stop him if he really wanted to. Li quickly followed Armis, growling along the way. "Would you stop with those sounds." Armis asked after several minutes. "No." Li retorted, growling at him.
"Then stop following me." Armis snapped, glaring. He couldn't stand growling. It reminded him too much of Dranz, and the punishments he had received.
Li snarled at him as she whacked her tail against a tree she walked by in frustration. "I'm not going to stop following you." She growled. Armis tensed when she did that, before increasing his pace. Li increased her pace as well, continuing to follow him.
"I don't see why you have to follow me." He sneered, glancing back at her. "I can find my way on my own." "I'm not following you for your sake." Li snapped, her tail whacking into another tree. "Oh? Afraid I might hurt one of these towns? What are they to you?" Armis asked glancing back. "I mean that honestly." He didn't really plan on destroying or hurting any of the towns, but he didn't see why he should tell her that. "That's not why I'm following you." Li growled. She was just following him so that she could let Rosey know if he was turning. She was also making sure he was preoccupied long enough for her mom to be re-hidden. Remis ran as quickly as he could to catch up, and it didn't take too long. "Hey!" He called out when he saw them. Armis looked back, and was somewhat surprised to see Remis. He supposed it was better than anyone else who could have shown up. Li jumped before looking back at Remis, startled to see him. "What are you doing?" She asked. She didn't know why he wasn't with mom. "I wanted to come see you guys." He stated. He hadn't expected to see Li as well. Armis went back to ignoring them as he continued on to a town. "Now you can go ahead back home, Li. I only need one of you watching me." Li blinked some before glaring at Armis. "I'm not leaving without Remis." She didn't think it'd be wise to leave Remis alone with Armis. She had made the mistake of letting Armis talk to her alone before. She didn't want Remis to do it too. Armis stopped and turned around smiling some. "But Li, I've had so many opportunities to visit you and I haven't had any time with my son." He pulled Remis close to him, forcing him to shift uncomfortably. "Wouldn't you like to spend a day with just your father?" Remis looked between Armis and Li. "Uh..um...I guess." "None of those visits were pleasant." Li growled, glaring at Armis. "You either have both of us hang around you or neither of us." She said. She gave Remis a look, trying to let him know Armis isn't safe to be around alone. Armis glared back some before smiling some at Remis. "What she said, we both go." He pressed. Armis sighed some before walking again. "Fine." Li glared at Armis before looking at Remis. She was wondering if their mom was safe again. She was also wondering what possessed him to leave their mom's side to follow her and Armis. Remis tried to signal to Li that their mom was safe since Armis had his back turned and hope he got his point across. "So where are we going?" He asked when the minstrel looked back at them.
Li nodded before shrugging at the question of where they were going was brought up. She had wandered the area before, but after seeing the technology some of the towns had, she just... stayed away. "Wherever the nearest town is I suppose." Armis stated. "Whichever town we run across first, how's that?" Remis frowned before nodding.
Li shifted a bit as she followed them. "...Why do you want to go to a town?" She asked. "To find work. I'm an entertainer aren't I?" He snapped. "....I don't think people here would be that interested in you...." Li muttered. "And I don't care." Armis answered. Remis blinked some, wondering if Armis was actually trying to change or if he was putting on and act. "Then why are you bothering?" Li growled. Armis ignored her, pausing as a town came into sight before continuing on. The town was one of the ones that had a mixture of present and furturistic technology. Li became tense as she saw cars driving by. She wasn't interested in getting close to the town, but she didn't want to leave Remis with Armis. He was tense as he walked into town, trying to take everything in. He had to stop almost immediately to try and register what was going on. Remis glanced at Li. "Do you think he'll be okay?" Li shrugged and looked at Remis. "Rosey warned him that his mind would implode from seeing the technology." She said. She flinched and tensed up when they walked past another dragon like them. Rem blinked some and looked at her. "But what about you. Are you going to be alright?" Armis, for the moment, was stunned. He was still in too much shock from seeing everything. Li shifted some and looked down. "...I don't like being around these towns, but I have already seen this stuff before...." She mumbled. He nodded, then jumped some, startled when Armis turned back to them. "Alright. Fine. Maybe I need a guide. Why don't you tell me how this place works." He demanded, pointing at Li. Li frowned and shifted some. "This town has a combination of present and futuristic technology, though for you, it's all futuristic. There's cars, flying cars, computers, electricity etc." She mumbled. "Usually the rich people have the furturistic technology... The middle-class has present... and the poor people have the kind of technology you're used to." She said and rubbed the back of her head. "This town is one of the towns that is doing rather well for themselves." She said. "Also there's a lot of species... beings... on this world... and they usually live together alright." She said, gesturing some to a cat person who was talking to an elf. Armis sneered some. "I don't see what's wrong with the technology we use. All that shiny stuff just looks dangerous." "The better technology makes doing things easier." Li stated. "And they can do more stuff." She said. "They may look dangerous, but they've been tested and made to not be dangerous." He scowled, not quite believing her before continuing his way through town. Rem wondered if he planned on trying to perform here. He doubted anyone would want to listen, no matter how good his father was at singing. Li sighed and followed Armis as he continued his way through town. They eventually got to the center of town. He stopped when they got there and looked around, trying to take it in. Rem watched, shifting some. "What are you going to do?" Li stopped beside Rem, frowning as they watched Armis. There were people who were just hanging out with friends, some people who were just travelling to other places, and stands that sold food or other items to people just hanging around. Armis realized something then as he stopped and listened. He couldn't understand anything. Not that he was expecting much. He also noticed something else. "It doesn't look like there are any entertainers here." "People usually listen to music at home..." Rem answered, though that seemed to confuse Armis even more. "They have televisions and radios. The only time they watch entertainers is at concerts and such. It's really hard to get a job as one...Lots of competition." Li explained. She then walked over to someone who was listening to music through earphones. "Can I borrow this please? I promise I'll give it back." She asked. The person hesitated before giving her the device he was using. She nodded at him before walking back over to Armis to show it to him. She pulled out the headphones to use the speakers on it to play the song. "They record the songs so people can hear it whenever they want to when they buy the album." She explained before giving the device back to the person and saying thanks. Armis had jumped back when she did that, surprised and not really understanding some of what she said. Rem had to fight back laughter, but he could also understand where he was coming from. There hadn't been anything like it on the wizards continent either. "Look. All you need to know is that it's a lot harder to become a singer here. People aren't as easily amazed by someone who can sing a few folk songs." Li said, crossing her arms. Armis glared some. "I probably could do it if I really wanted to." Rem frowned. That wasn't a good sign. And he didn't want them to start arguing in the middle of town either. "You get freaked out by the portable radio thing and you think you could become a singer here?" Li growled. "The only way that would work is if you cheated and sooner or later you'll get caught for it." She snapped. "Cheated?" He asked, grinning. "And how is using my Caos given gift cheating?" Even if he tried it just then he wouldn't be able to. He couldn't really do anyting like that until Dranz recovered. "Hypnotizing people is cheating." She snapped. "People that have actual talent don't need to hypnotize people to get noticed. People like Remlic." She growled as her wings spread some. Armis immediately slapped her across the face, scowling. "Don't bring up that brat again." Rem winced, startled at how quickly Armis became angry.
Li cringed when she was suddenly slapped. She paused, staring at the ground as she took in what just happened. She then snarled and glared at Armis as her eyes turned pale gold. "I'll talk about Remlic anytime I want to! You're just mad because he's better than you in every way! That Mom will only ever love him!" She snapped as she moved to shove him. He grabbed hold of her wrist, glaring at her. "Listen, wench, and listen good. I helped out that brat as a favor, and for all you know I don't care about your mother anymore. For all you know I want to find her so I can stick a knife in her." Rem stepped back, frowning and looking around. He knew they were causing a scene, and he was afraid that someone might try to hurt them because of it. Li snarled at Armis when he grabbed her wrist. She then frowned at what he said before glaring at him. "Bastard. You leave our mom alone." She snapped and moved to kick him in the crotch. Their fighting was causing a scene and people were starting to notice. Some stopped to watch, trying to figure out what was going on. Armis let out a grunt of pain and immediately let go of her when he was kicked. Angered, he reached for a knife, but glancing around and noticing the crowd settled for glaring at her. "Fine, whatever. Leave me alone." Li glared at him before looking at Remis. "Let's go back. We shouldn't hang around with scum like him." She grumbled as she moved to walk away. Rem looked between them before standing firm. "No. I want to go with him." Li blinked and looked back at Remis, shocked. "What? Why?" She asked. "Didn't you hear him?" "Because..." He stated, frowning some and shifting. "Because I'm tired of hiding. And...um...just because." Armis looked at him, before grinning some. At least he still had someone that liked him. She looked at Remis with a hurt look before spreading her wings and thumping her tail down on the ground in rage. "Fine! Hang out with the guy who just keeps hurting us! Turn out like him! See if I care!" She snarled before taking flight and going to leave. Remis frowned some and looked after her. He wondered if that meant his sister wasn't going to talk to him anymore, or if she was just going to attack him too. Li went back to the forest before landing. She slashed at a tree and roared in rage and frustration. She sat down as she rubbed her cheek, feeling betrayed. Maybe she was just better off being completely alone.
Golden Note: Act 1.
Setting: With Dranz out of commission, Armis chooses this moment to bother his daughter that has been avoiding him.
Li sighed as she relaxed in her cave, having just given back Dranz and Opal their children. It had been exhausting watching them since they didn't listen to her and fought among themselves, not to mention they kept bombarding her and her spirits with questions. She hoped she wouldn't have to watch all three of them for a few weeks again. It was one thing to have them for a couple hours or maybe a day... but any longer than that was too much.
It wasn't long before Armis stepped into her territory, knowing that he could get away with it just then. Dranz was still too weak to stop him from bothering his daughter, so he saw no reason why he shouldn't. Li sensed someone stepping into her territory. She frowned and immediately went to go see who it was, teleporting there. She snarled and spread her wings when she saw it was her father. "Get out of my territory." She snapped at him. "I come to visit my favorite daughter and that's the greeting I get?" Armis asked, sneering some. "I feel so loved." "I'd rather you didn't visit me at all." Li snapped, glaring at him. "You just want to know where Mom and Remis is." She growled. "So what if I do?" He snapped, glaring. "That doesn't mean I can't visit you anyway, does it?" "I don't want you to visit me." She snapped. "Get off my territory." She growled as she kept her wings spread and looked ready to attack him. Armis sneered some. "What if I just want to talk to you? And you really don't want to fight me, sweet daughter, I haven't been using my full power." "I don't want to listen to you either." Li growled as her tail flicked in agitation. She glanced at her spirits when Armis mentioned not using his full power. He isn't lying. The spirits stated. His voice isn't always the main threat. Armis shrugged and walked farther into her territory. "Then don't listen to me and I'll just stay here being as loud as I can." She frowned at what the spirits said before glaring at Armis as she folded up her wings. "What do you want?" She snapped. "I made it clear I just want to talk, didn't I?" He stated, grinning at her. "To see how you're surviving on your own." "I'm doing fine on my own." Li growled, watching him. "Sure you aren't getting lonely?" He pressed, glaring some. "Are you sure your brother is okay?" "I'm fine!" She snapped. "And Rem is fine too! R-.." She stopped herself before she could say who her brother and mother was staying with. She glared at him and crossed her arms. "It starts with an R, does it?" He stated looking back at her. Do not let him trick you. The spirits warned. This is why I didn't want to talk to him. Li mentally grumbled to her spirits. "Yes, Remis's name starts with a R. You can't even spell your son's name? Some father you are." She growled. He glared again. "I know what his name is."Why do you hate me so much anyway?" "Why should I like you?" She retorted, glaring back. "I don't remember doing anything to actually hurt you." He answered, a knife suddenly appearing in his hand. "Not yet at least." Li was startled when a knife appeared in his hands. Her wings spread open, and she glared at him as she took a step back. "You said you just wanted to talk." She snapped. Armis looked down at his hand and resheathed his knife. "Force of habit. Sorry." She growled and glared at him. "Maybe that's why I don't like you." She snapped. "And maybe those habits would be broken if you had all come with me." He shouted back. "Did you ever think about that?" "No they wouldn't! Mom doesn't like you! She wants nothing to do with you!" Li shouted back. "Remis and I want nothing to do with you either." "I don't see why not." He snapped before looking down. "Look, just forget it." He started to press further into her territory. Looks like he feels something. Isn't that funny. One of the spirits pointed out. Whether he feels something or not, can't be helped. My mom is in love with Remlic, not him. Li replied to the spirit, frowning. She then growled when her father went further into her territory and she moved to get in his way. "Where are you going?" "For a stroll." He answered sarcastically. "Wherever I want to, really." She growled at him before moving to take flight. If he was going to stay in her territory, she'd just leave.
