A Party to Remember
[[ Closed rp with @goldheartedrobotics ]] Chitty couldn’t remember the last time she was invited to a birthday party. In fact, she was more likely to frequent the parties of loyal customers of her store. Parent and child alike. Which was the case that day. It was funny, but Chitty didn’t mind. In fact she found it quite humbling that kids enjoyed her company almost as much as they enjoyed the toys she created! She looked down at the package she had neatly wrapped earlier that day, carrying it with great care down the street. The wrapping paper was a light shade of orange with purple polka dots, tied with a blue ribbon. The recipient’s name: Clara, was written in neatly on the card on top. The package, along with the young woman carrying it; wearing an orange polka-dotted shirt and yellow blouse, curly red hair framing her face, could be seen a mile away. It didn’t take long before the Toymaker reached her destination. It was a more well-to-do neighbourhood. The houses farther apart from each other with neat little fences. People spending time on their manicured gardens and enjoying the summer with their pools. Chitty could swear she could hear the splash of some kids in a pool as she walked up towards the house and knocked. “Chitty! Great to see you!” She was greeted by the mother of the Special Birthday Girl. The door was opened wider and excited shrieks and squeals and chatter of children hit the toymaker like a tidal wave. She couldn’t help but grin as she stepped inside. “Happy to come! Sounds like the party is in full swing!” She commented, gazing quickly around to see that some kids were already playing some games. Others were outside playing in a pool, adults mulling about to keep an eye on them. “Oh yes! This party is extra special for our little Clara!” the mother said, though she did look a tad frazzled. “We hired a special entertainer this year!” “Not a clown I hope. Clara was adamant in telling me she hated those!” Chitty said with a chuckle. “Oh no! Something much more special than that! He’s in the living room with Clara and her brother. Oh, pardon me I need to check the food!” the woman said, briskly walking off towards the kitchen. “He?” Chitty repeated. She then shrugged, taking herself and her gift over towards the room indicated. What she saw in there made her stop in stunned, delighted silence. A giant robotic dog is certainly not something you see every day.
((Okay so, semi-reason I’ve been slow lately, along with house stuff, is that I’m currently nerding out over an old character of mine. He was my first OC and you’ll probably recognize him as Danny, the character I talked about in the Alt ask. A lot of people seemed to really like him, so I decided to rewrite and reboot him on this blog --> http://goldheartedrobotics.tumblr.com (Thank you ghostandghouls for the name)
It’s going to be a private blog at a later date. (Since I’m still not entirely proud of his origin) Go check out the blog and about page and if you feel like you’d like to RP, send me an IM and I’ll add you onto the list. When the blog goes private, I’ll send out the password to everyone on the list.))
((Also heads up, the password can be very glitchy. When it becomes passworded, let me know if the password doesn’t work and I’ll fix it.))
