Danny hadn’t been at the house for much longer than an hour, but as usual, he was enjoying himself. With many of the kids out playing in the pool while it was still sunny out, Danny was inside, the small crowd of about five kids who preferred to stay inside all sitting in a circle, an empty plastic bottle between them, each taking their turns in this very intense game of Truth or Dare. Danny didn’t mind the small crowd, really. Sure, it was bigger when he arrived, but most of them had gone out to the pool for a little bit. If only he was able to join them.
As soon as Chitty entered, she was greeted by the sight of some sort of Giant Dog, sitting in the middle of the room with the others, him facing the door where she had come in from. His head raised up, promptly followed by perked ears as he looked up at her. It took a moment for him to actually register that it was a person, but as soon as he did, his large tail made itself known by wagging across the carpet, followed by his eyes seeming to brighten somewhat.
“Oh! Hello! Are you here for Clara’s party?” So the giant dog can talk. You learn something new every day. His voice seemed…somewhat off. He sounded like a young boy, though there was some sort of…effect to it, making it sound a little more robotic. In fact, on a closer inspection, whatever was very happy to see her didn’t actually seem to be a real animal. Sitting, he just seemed just under 6ft tall, not counting his rather large ears. He was covered in a thick, fuzzy layer of light yellow fur, a large golden patch on his belly. Considering his other features, it was unlikely that the fur was real. His head seemed to say more about his non-animality than the rest of him, as metal rings seemed attached to the bottom fo both of his ears, clearly covering up what was making them move so fluidly. When he spoke, his mouth remained closed, though the rest of him did the job of portraying emotion well enough. His eyes, while not clearly fake, seemed far too large, giving them an almost humorous Kitten-like appearance.
Danny gave her a brief look over. She seemed…at least taller than most of the kids here, which gave the impression she wasn’t one of them. Then again, her very brightly coloured clothes and hair at least didn’t make her seem like the rest of the adults.
“W-We were playing Truth or Dare, you wanna join?”
