The mine of gold sheen sapphire in Kenya was ostensibly depleted, yielding no good quality rough, for almost two decades. In early 2013, the last production was only two to three percent of yielded materials that display the popular golden sheen effect and about two percent of the total rough production yields such translucent, high quality, shimmering stones.
