The Swilcan Bridge on the 18th fairway of the #OldCourse in St Andrews is the most iconic landmark in the world of #golf. It is built over the Swilcan Burn, the only water hazard on this course. It was built about 800 years ago as a crossing between the harbour and town. I made my pilgrimage to #thehomeofgolf, walked on the 18th but didn’t have time to play. If you visit on a Sunday, the course is closed and you can take your pic on the bridge like every player and winner of #TheOpen. This links course in #royalandancientgolfclub was one of of the first golf course in the world and has been played on since 1500s. One day, I’ll be back for a round. #golfbucketlist #lovefife #golfersdream @welcometofife (at Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews,The)
