TAVROS: *Tavros is waiting outside of the lab area for Jake after trekking back to the ship. Hopefully the guy was taking a good shower to wash out that sewer smell! Tavros had rearranged some stuff to make space for the mothergrub, but has yet to uncaptha it. He doesn't want to do this all by himself, especially given previous bad encounters with mothergrubs.*

JAKE: *he does take a pretty thorough shower, not wanting to lose his opportunity to experience this on account of poor hygiene so he treks on over*

JAKE: *after he's done that is*

TAVROS: *More or less zoning out thinking about what to do about all of this. He doesn't really want to hand any grubs over for /culling/ because, that's... Kind of messed up. But they can't stay on the ship either? He takes a deep breath, then notices the approaching Jake. He waves.* hEY, *Musters up a smile.* yOU ALL READY TO GO?

JAKE: Am i ever??

JAKE: It was like sitting through a grueling five hour film my anticipation for the action payoff!

TAVROS: wELL, tHEN i HOPE THE PAYOFF WILL BE WORTH IT, uH, aT LEAST TO SOME DEGREE, gIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES AND ALL, *He shrugs, almost lamely. Then inserts his code into the door panel to enter the decontamination chamber leading to the lab.* aFTER YOU, *Smile + gesture towards the open door.*

JAKE: *TROTS on in, pulling the cards with the grubs and stuff out of his sylladex*

TAVROS: *Trots on after him into the decontamination chamber, then after some serious decontaminaty spritzing he wanders on into the laboratory. The walls are lined with large tubes filled with some green goop, giving off an eerie glow. Some are filled with what seems to be animals, while others are empty. There is a huge one in the back of the room, reaching from the ceiling to the floor, though it is covered with a sheet. Surrounding that tube Tavros has set up a improv "dog pound", where all of the guard hounds to be are lazing about. The other tubes, desk, and other equipment have all been shoved off to one corner of the lab to make room for the mothergrub and all. Tavros rubs the back of his neck.* hM, wELL, i SUPPOSE THERE IS NO TIME, uHM, lIKE THE PRESENT, aS THE SAYING GOES, *Pulls out the few cards he had gotten.*

JAKE: *releases the MOTHERGRUB first, who finishes her screeching from when Jake grabbed her in the first place before looking around seeming pretty confused about her environment. Jake then starts unleashing the grubs as well, surrounding her with the grubby children*

TAVROS: *DOGS START BARKING from that sudden huge bug and screeching and oh my Tavros could have planned this better. He cringes, and with some quick communing the hounds all suddenly decide that it is naptime. He sends out the grubs he had gotten as well, they huddling up to the mothergrub. He squints, communing with the mothergrub to just... Keep her from flipping out. He quickly looks to Jake though.*

TAVROS: uH, sO, i CAN SEE THAT THE MOTHERGRUB IS CLEARLY MUTATED, aND A LOT OF THE GRUBS ARE TOO,,, wHERE DID YOU GUYS FIND THEM, eXACTLY? wAS THERE ANY SIGHT OF TOXIC WASTE, eRR, i MEAN, aPART FROM WHAT YOU MIGHT EXPECT DOWN, yOU KNOW, *Grimaces a little as he remembers that gross sewer smell.*

JAKE: Nope! There was nothing toxic that i could see... and as some of our fellow troll friends pointed out there was evidence that she was certainly being cared for at least even if it was a horrid location.

TAVROS: hMM, yEAH, tHAT MAKES SENSE, tHAT SHE HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF i MEAN, bECAUSE THERE CAN'T BE MUCH TO ACTUALLY LIVE OFF OF DOWN THERE, uHH, aND ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE ALSO HAS TO FEED GRUBS? *Looks at them all, crouching near some of the grubs to give them a closer look.* iT'S JUST STRANGE, tHAT SO MANY WOULD COME OUT WITH MUTATIONS, wITHOUT SOME OUTSIDER SOURCE, *Chinstroke.* i MEAN, iT COULD BE GENETIC, dEFINITELY, bUT JUST BECAUSE THE MOTHERGRUB IS MUTATED DOESN'T MEAN THAT ALL OF THE GRUBS NECESSARY SHOULD TURN OUT THE SAME,,, *Mutters, brows furrowed.*

JAKE: It is quite fascinating indeed... unless perhaps these grubs arent necessarily her young?

JAKE: I suppose its possible they were placed there.

TAVROS: *Looks to Jake with big eyes.* tHAT'S ACTUALLY A REALLY GOOD SUGGESTION, *Beams at him, and he stands on up.* bECAUSE, wHAT IF SOMEONE THAT WATCHED OVER OTHER MOTHERGRUBS, dIDN'T WANT THESE ONES TO GET CULLED, aND THEN PLACED THEM WITH THIS MOTHERGRUB, tHAT WAS ALREADY AT A HIDDEN LOCATION, tO GIVE THEM A CHANCE AT GROWING UP,
