The air was cold, and he could see his breath form in small white puffs of frost.
The tree was absolutely magnificent. It was gigantic-- not as gigantic as the World Tree, of course, but still pretty big-- and decked with golden tinsel and garland, grand with large ribbons and lights. The tree itself looked like a sky of stars, twinkling and sparkling at every angle. Gon took pictures of it to show Mito later, before childishly turning around and taking a selfie in front of the tree.
He opened up his contacts list and without thinking sent it to the person he was waiting on to show up.

He didn't care that he was a little more than half an hour earlier than when he told Killua he'd be there. It was Killua, after all; Gon didn't want to miss him, if he ever did decide to show up.
