A Katya x Sofia ficlet for the Goncharov (5)1 year anniversary!

Summary: Sofia is supposed to be watching Goncharov, but only has eyes for his wife. Katya accuses Sofia of spying on her, Sofia assures her she has only been watching her out of admiration - and ends up allowing Katya to take her to her room…
They got together in their gap-year between highschool and college/university, Katya travelling through southern Europe where she was paying her way by doing odd jobs and whenever she found an opportunity by playing guitar and singing on small stages in local pubs or just in the streets, while Sofia was visiting family living in different parts of Italy...

The two of them hit it off pretty much instantly, and when it was time for Katya to move on, because she had a small gig booked in another town and besides she had always planned to keep on travelling, they kept texting and calling and after two months they meet up again, on purpose, in a different town where other relatives of Sofia's live, and this time Sofia is ready to come with Katya.
After a summer of travelling, they decide to continue their education, looking for universities that offer music and arts and business courses, as well as accepting their different scholarships, finally finding one that suits both of their needs. Katya officially studies music because she wants to prove to herself and her parents and everyone, really, that she can make it as a musician and the degree won't be a waste, but she sits in on a lot of business classes because she's realistic enough to know that if she's managing her own gigs, she needs to know something about how money works.
Sofia is studying business (she's surprised at how many of her lectures Katya joins her in, and even more surprised at how little they distract each other in class, at least in the lectures that seem to impart useful knowledge), minoring in psychology and arts, and her schedule is packed but she still finds the time to sit in their shared flat listening to Katya sing or having her teach her to play the guitar. The only instrument she'd ever played so far was the piano as a child, but she picks it up quicker than she'd have expected, and soon she can accompany Katya's singing on the easier songs. Katya meanwhile focuses on playing bass as her instrument for her music degree, and while the old guitar is still officially hers, it's soon in Sofia's room, in Sofia's hands more often than not, while her shiny new bass gets easier and easier to play.
Their first gig is at a karaoke night / talent show at the uni pub, and while Sofia had been anxious beforehand, and Katya had actually felt a little bad about talking her into it, and worried that Sofia would feel bad if something was wrong - once she's on starting to play and Katya is starting to sing, her stage fright disappears and Sofia absolutely loves it. She can't wait to do it again, and from now on when Katya goes to play somewhere, Sofia comes with her.
