"Perhaps my biggest personal aim for my long journey south was to figure "It" out... whatever "It" is. Unfulfilled in my past life, I intended to take some time off to re-assess my priorities and give thoughtful and deliberate consideration as to what I wanted out of the remainder of my numbered days on earth. While I've been experiencing a lot in Latin America (almost too much to process at times) and having a fucking blast while doing so, as I reached and passed by the halfway point of the trip it dawned on me that I hadn't given much real, active effort towards my trip's main purpose - I wasn't any closer to "It". So the last month I've been making a concerted attempt to reduce my exposure to glowing electronic rectangles, instead slowing down and spending time thinking, meditating, and focusing on the immediate world around me, and I can't recommend it enough. BUT... aside from sappy, existential musings, I still have so much more I want to share with anyone following along, like this photo from Bolivia's "Death Road". Wally's fuel pump may have been wheezing like a dying cat as we drove into the clouds, but we successfully checked this one off the bucket list!"
