A space opera for the ages
Ian Flynn is very well known for his work on the Sonic franchise when it comes to comic books. Flynn has been penning Sonic comics for literally decades now, and is currently a contributing writer for the IDW Publishing Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. While it’s clear Flynn has a lot more to say with Sonic, he’d also love the chance to talk in depth about another gaming animal icon.
In an interview with Miketendo64, Flynn was asked what Nintendo franchise he’d like to have a crack at when it comes to comic books. Flynn was behind the ARMS comic book series, and while that run was cancelled premature, Flynn appears quite eager to put pen to paper for Fox McCloud and the gang.
StarFox. No question, no hesitation. I would love to do a robust retelling of the story that began in StarFox 64, follow that thread through StarFox Command, and then follow Marcus’s tenure as the third McCloud. I know exactly what I’d do. I have the vision.

The limbless hero heads to TV!
Ubisoft revealed interest in creating some TV projects awhile back, and now they're moving ahead with a franchise Nintendo fans can appreciate. Its been confirmed that Rayman is getting a cartoon adventure, and it's going to be a 'comedy-adventure," according to reports. Other than that, we don't have any details on when it'll release, or where we can expect to watch it.
Oddworld fans, get ready. Series creator Lorne Lanning has teased a bunch of content for Switch owners, and it all pertains to 2019. Check out the snippet from a Variety interview below, in which Lanning shares some very exciting statements.
V: Do you think you’ll continue to rework your Oddworld games, continuing with “Munch’s Oddysee”?
LL: If there is demand, we will remaster and improve upon games from our back catalog. You may even hear about something like that very soon. We have already announced “Stranger’s Wrath” coming to Switch and we will have a few more Switch related announcements to make after E3. One thing I can say right now, I believe Oddworld fans who own Switch will find 2019 to be a very Oddworld year.
