I’m sorry, it’s been a long time. I should have written an update last week but I was simply not feeling up to it. Not that I had any bad news or anything.
On the contrary, I was able to write every day throughout my vacation and that led me to finally finish Nevers’s scene. The whole thing is chunky, 30k words alone, bringing chapter 2 to 45k words already. And I still have a handful of scenes to write to wrap up the chapter.
The only problem is that my mental health has taken a dip for weeks now and I’m feeling exhausted. I’ve taken a break from writing since I’ve come back, I was not in a great environment to keep working anyway. I can only hope things will improve soon, as much as they can.
My goal now is to switch to 8YR and start outlining chapter 3. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get started to be honest. Maybe today if I feel up to it. I do want to get back to work, feeling unproductive has not really helped things. Or maybe I need to find ways of taking it easy that make me feel better instead of worse. If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them!
In fact, I’m considering making a self-care bingo card lol. It’s something I’ve seen on YouTube recently and I thought it was a great idea (I watch Kate Cavanaugh’s videos for writing inspiration, if anyone is curious).
