Late lunchtime! Featuring some of the season's first batch of cooked apples, reheated in the microwave.
Definitely not the last batch, though! These turned out great, and were just what I needed last night.
I had been craving some apple crumble, but just plain cooked apples seemed like more my speed right now. (Especially with the swallowing bullshit getting worse again. I couldn't even eat the extra soft rice pudding I also turned out yesterday. Or at least without running it through the blender, which I didn't want to do.🙄)

As usual, I had to tinker around a bit with this base recipe. Used 6 Braeburn apples, a little ground cloves and nutmeg along with 1/2 tsp. of the cinnamon, and added roughly a couple of tablespoons worth of butter plus maybe a tablespoon of Splenda (to taste) along with the little bit of honey at the end. I also let the pressure come down naturally for 10 minutes, to help make sure they were extra soft.
(Mr. C couldn't find the allspice up on a shelf I can't reach now, or I would have used that instead of the pinch of cloves. It turned out great as is!)
