Anyway here’s my mid-evolution ranking list:

S Tier - Excellent. Could be their own stand-alone designs

A Tier - Solid designs, make sense as a middle-stage but are strong enough conceptually to stand on their own 

B Tier - Good designs on their own but generally a bit unremarkable when put into the context of their full evolutionary line (i.e. most folks would not pick them as their favorite over their previous/post evolution)

C Tier - Kind of awkward/ugly but serve their purpose as a mid-stage transition

F Tier - Bad mid-tier designs/ugly/doesn’t really make sense in their evolutionary line
