When was the last time he had gone to someone when he was feeling like this? Had he ever? He must have, some time long ago, when he was still young and scared and needed advice from the angel that knew so much. But now, here he was, sitting in the cafe he had so many times before, slumped over the counter as his Producer closed up.
Why was he even here? This wasn’t like him, to say such feeble things, to let himself be shown with such weakness. The Composer didn’t even want to acknowledge why he felt this way, let alone talk to Sanae of all people. A hand ran through his hair as he heard the barista walking back toward him, forcing himself to sit up with a long sigh.
Joshua looked at him for a moment, still having second thoughts about this entire thing, this entire situation. He didn’t like to be seen like this, he usually just waited these feelings out in silence, the city would go into a small slump, and then he’d tell himself to get it together.
“... Nothing happened,” he said, looking back at the counter. “... You know what, never mind. I’m fine, forget it.” A forced chuckle came from his throat as he shook his head and turned his attention to the windows. This was stupid.
As a child of a politician let me tell you something. Politics is terrifying. With any other job it’s about qualifications. Who has the credentials and experience better suited for the job.
However that’s not the case here.
The genuine people of the world don’t always get the job in this glorious field and it sucks because you know some complete idiot is filling the shoes of someone who could be pretty fucking terrific.
And it’s that reality that’s going to keep me up for the next 5 days.
Because I know that someone really great has been working his ass off everyday for the past 4 years, and he may not get his just deserts.
Another end
I do not envy you For tomorrow As I will be safe While you venture out To see two men At the end One goes burning The other not there yet I can not hold you In my arms But I will hold you In my mind We have felt this Immense loss Too many times Before I'll see you soon Good luck dad
