I see a lot of people posting about SFS when its overwhelmed and slow snd although I don’t have issues with it - I get it BUT
It’s an awesome site and a great FREE resource. I love it and am glad we have it. People act like there aren’t humans behind this that have NO reason to provide us with this AMAZING resource. You can’t sh-t on people and expect them to stay.
Anyway I believe most users love them and I don’t want the loud minority to ruin it for us all so please show #SimsFileshare love every now and then mkay.

Okay so, I'm playing Thief 2 at the moment and I have some thoughts and feelings.
For those unfamiliar, Thief is an immersive stealth sim game, and pretty beloved.
Yes, I did skip Thief 1 (for now).
But wow, it's always so fascinating stepping into games of this era. Thief 2 came out in the year 2000, and has the precise presentation that immediately takes me back to childhood, sat at the family computer and being hopelessly lost in Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.
There's not a lot of polygons here, but that's okay, because somehow it truly does feel *immersive*.
I've played a lot of games in my life, and sometimes there is a level of apathy borne of simply having seen so many different examples of the art. I am always happy to feel that apathy drawn away by a game to pull me into its world, and Thief 2 is doing it!
Why? It's hard to say a single specific thing, but there's something to be said about the sound design. Guards are having idle conversations, generators are humming, forges are crackling. It does a lot to sell a low-poly world.
In mission 2, I stumbled across a clandestine meeting between two shady men who, so far as I know, has absolutely nothing to do with the plot of the game. In another mission, I happened to eavesdrop as a woman tried to seduce a (very obtuse) guard. These touches really sell that it's a living, growing world.
There are notes to be found (which is not an uncommon form of storytelling in games mind you), but instead of being a vehicle for presenting deep lore, it's typically simple correspondence, friends venting about the political climate, or simply a reminder to charge that weird asshole extra if he comes back.
It's great. It's just really well done. I've been left feeling very curious about this world, and that's such a great feeling!
Something that really struck me was a simple item in my inventory: a compass.
When I first saw the compass, I scoffed and wondered "why in the world would I need this?".
Not too much longer, I was looking at the in game map (presented as a hand drawn ink-on-papyrus type deal, complete with scrawled notes from the PC) and was trying to make sense of where I was. I *thought* I knew where I was, but I wasn't certain. The key revelation here was "well, if I am where I think I am, then there should be a door due west of me", and I pulled out the compass to confirm it.
In this moment I felt brilliant and moronic at once. I mean come on, duh. This is what a compass is for! Literally. But I've become so used to games holding my hand in an iron grip that I was completely lost in the sauce of looking at this through the lens of game logic and skipped right over real world logic.
I dunno, it's been cool.
I love old games.
I love that I'm still finding more games from my own youth that I missed out on, and that they're still holding up (admittedly with some levels of jank)
Warning: Bad Grammar, Jumping topics a bit ig, My opinion
Can I just say I think A LOT of people do not know what term "Furry" means like OMG like Anti-Furries can be so misunderstanding and really rude! in case if you do not know what a furry is here's the meaning
Furry: Someone who has a A furry is someone with an interest in anthropomorphic animals (I needed to search it up bc I don't know how to spell anthropomorphic but now I do :3)
This means... WE DONT THINK WE ARE ANIMALS
WE DON"T HAVE A ATTRACTION TO ANIMALS
WE DON'T EAT DOG FOOD AND ANIMAL FOOD
WE KNOW WE ARE HUMAN!!!
Anyone can be a Furry (I am a Furry) and guess what we Furries have jobs, Lives, Family...
Honestly I feel like the hate got worse when Litterboxes got into School (not sure if that's still a thing) and my opinion about that is that I thought It was a crazy and bad idea and they even used the term "Furries" in the news reports when they had no idea the Furry Fandom was disagree with this too and I think I have some ideas of how this came before
people who thought they were "Furries" but did not know meaning
people with clinical lycanthropy. which is usually not their fault which can be underlying conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe depression.
Anti-Furries who would think it was funny
Honestly I just didn't like the idea of litterboxes in schools bc it was pretty unnecessary and could make fun of actual Furries and more bullying tbh. even the furry Community didn't like the idea.
Even though i'm a Furry and have been for a couple of years I did research (yes i'm a nerd I love to research things I'm interested in) but I feel like if we did research and understand the world would be so much better and I not just talking about Furries This can also be with Gender,LGBTQ,Disability,Hobbies and Interests I'm also a person who likes to understand people but I feel like everyone should sometimes HATE in general for something that not hurting others or yourself is DUMB
Im enjoyint the show but sometimes the physics are bent in such a weird ways to suit the narrative that they just pull me out of it, you know? Not in like 'guy has a super-metal 100% functional prothesis kind of way' but more in like 'gravity doesnt exists' kind of way.
Like in the first scene on the first episode sam pulls off the airplane door and despressurization just???? Doesnt happen??? I mean, we know it is a thing in the mcu since in iron man 3 we have that scene of the air force one, so??? Consistency??? Physics??? I dont know her.
Last nights episode was the worst by far. In the post-credits scene we see walker building his own cap shield. And. He. Welds. The. F. Pieces... YOUR BUILDING A F FREESBEE YOU ARE GOING TO HIT PEOPLE W IT IF YOU WELD SEVERAL PIECES OF METAL YOUR FREESBEE IS GOING TO BREAK. And he doesnt even forges it?!?!?!? 0/10 your 'i saw it once in forged in fire so it will be easy' ass is going to get kicked so bad... But then again, he wont get his ass kicked bc it will be a functional weapon bc of the power of narration, so none of it will matter after all >:(
Anyways... Thanks for comming to my TED talk :D
you’re assuming Samuel Wilson is bound by your mortal physics
Okay can I just take a moment to rant about how amazing and incredible Dr. Jonathan Reid is ✨🖤🦇
So first of all:
He is super supportive of a gay couple in the game (by player choice of course).
After meeting Oswald Thatcher and Newton Blight, there is a point where Newton expresses his concern for how others will view him because of his partner. If the nicest option is chosen, he states, “Enjoy your love, and enjoy life as long as you can, Mr.Blight. Don’t let anyone tell you who you should love or how you should love them.”
He states outright that he doesn’t judge people based on their ethnicity
When talking to Sabrina Cavendish, he asks her where she’s from and she gets flustered at the question. He reassured her of his intentions when he states, “Believe me, I never judge someone on their place of birth or the colour of their skin.”
He brought up the fact that women were given the right to vote as a sign that society was improving
When talking to Archer Woodbead, he brings up the fact that there is still hope in the world. Woodbead seems unimpressed, then Jonathan says, “But what about social progress? What about women getting the right to vote? Things can change for the better.”
He is just the best lad and that is all, have a great day 👌✨
