unfortunate
I've bought a bunch of my pairs of cowboy boots, my salsa shoes, zumba shoes and a few pairs of sneakers from 6pm over the past few years, among other things
their "percentages off" has always been misleading because they add at least %10 to what they claim is the MSRP (which you really can't do--if I go to Ariat's website and they say that a model of boot is $299, you can't say that the "manufacturer's suggested retail" is $329. it doesn't work that way. the manufacturer says it's $299. that's the MSRP, end of story) but being able to get the boots at $160 because they're the last pair available in an odd size (I have huge feet) makes the point moot. They've been, as far as I'm aware, an overstock website and subsidiary of Zappos. When Zappos has too much of something, they put it up for cheaper on 6pm. The only disadvantage to shopping at one instead of the other is that while Zappos has free shipping both ways, you have to pay your return shipping at 6pm.
I started browsing today for shits and giggles (because that's what I do when I'm having a bad day, honestly) and noticed something odd . . . a lot of the boots were full price. I do a lot of online window-shopping, and cowboy boots are my vice. I can recognize the make and price range of a pair of boots from across the dancefloor. I don't care about any other kind of fashion, but you bet your ass I'm judging you if you walk into the bar wearing Volatiles with a three inch heel or rubber soled Fatbabies and then you wonder why you can't dance in them.
Anyway all this babbling was just to say that apparently 6pm is getting too big for its britches and isn't an overstock website anymore? Sorry dude, but if I'm paying full price then I expect free return shipping. If it's all the same products anyway, I'll order from Zappos and at least have that option available to me.
by which I mean fuck you I'm not paying full price for anything. wastin' my time.
Shopping
Sometimes I'm a really bad shopper.
Ex. A few weeks ago I bought a $40 sweater; the next week it went on sale for $20.
Sometimes I'm a really good shopper.
Ex. Today I bought a new pair of sneakers and perfume for a total of less than $20.
I feel that those really good deals sometimes make up for the really bad ones.
(Plus I just like to brag about such good deals.)
