Summary: The Emperor's Wrath has waited. And waited. And waited... and now the time is nigh.
A prequel of sorts to day 13, a reverse POV of the Quesh encounter between Scourge and the Knight. Scourge is tired of biding his time, but spies something that might indicate that the time might have finally come.
308 years, six months, two weeks, five days since Revan and the Exile attempted to kill the Sith Emperor.

If Scourge could still feel emotions, he would have been utterly, completely exhausted with boredom.
His position as the Emperor's Wrath was perfect: he was closer to the Emperor than anything or anyone alive, he had unlimited access and power within the Empire. He was feared, respected. It was a position one would quite literally kill for.
But three centuries of acting as the personal executioner and hand of the most powerful Sith in existence got... repetitious.
Go here, kill this person, frighten that person into submission, return to Dromund Kaas. Wait for the next assignment to do it all over again. Act as an enforcer, the silent threat standing behind the throne, when not on assignment.
He had been patient. Content to wait for the time to strike. Ready to move when it came. He could tell the time was drawing nearer and nearer, but it did not prevent the listlessness from sinking in, constantly waiting. His frustration grew with every passing moment.
Today's assignment was to execute the former Dark Councilor, Sajar. Tol Braga, ever a thorn in the Emperor's side, had stolen him away for the Jedi, made him a Padawan, but the man was not prepared to be a field commander so soon, and he had made a fatal mistake. It was decided by the Dark Council that it would be Scourge's duty to correct it. That was why he was trudging through muck and grime on the disgusting, smog-filled swamp planet of Quesh, whether he wanted to or not.
"M—my lord," the sergeant stammered, snapping to attention. Not everyone knew about the Emperor's Wrath, but Scourge was very clearly not someone you trifled with. "We have the base surrounded, but there's a problem."
"What kind of problem?" Scourge sighed. Trust the Imperial army to muck something up.
"We were prepared for Jedi intervention, but this is... it's not what we expected. They don't use traditional Jedi tactics. They're clever, efficient, deadly."
"Hmm. Is there any information on who the Jedi have sent?" Scourge asked, stroking the barbels on his chin with thought. Sajar was the apprentice of the man foolish enough to put together a task force to redeem the Emperor. Scourge didn't know how Vitiate got the information about it, but whatever the source, it was lacking on who was part of the task force. They could get in his way—any way to take the knees out from under it, the better.
"We're not sure. Tactics match up with the Jedi that was working with Jace Malcom on Alderaan about nine months back, but we never got solid intel about her either," the sergeant said, rubbing his neck nervously. "All we know is that the troops called her the Angel, because she'd swoop in on an overwhelmed Republic force at the last minute, knock out an enemy batallion single-handed, and save them all."
Scourge rolled his eyes. "How very Jedi. I shall take care of things myself. Keep the soldiers back."
He did not wait for an acknowledgement of his orders. He often found it a waste of time. They either listened and got out of the way, or they learned their lesson painfully.
All the boredom and tedium fell away from his thoughts as he stalked through the base. This was the only time he truly felt alive now—he was the hunter after his prey. The base instincts of the Sith. A few straggling Republic troops fell to his blade as he swept through, shoving barricades and cargo containers out of his path, reaching out, out, out with the Force, until...
Scourge smiled to himself, a predator's smile. There you are, little runaway. Time to make things right.
Sajar was barricaded in the corridor leading to the operations center, behind a ray shield. There were two bright pinpricks of light surrounding him that he presumed were the Jedi sent to reinforce him. One felt oddly familiar, a touch of darkness within, but the other was in turmoil, battling against themself. Hmm. Let us meet this avenging Angel, then.
He rounded a corner, lightsaber sheathed, hands folded behind his back as he calmly approached the ray shield—and then he stopped in his tracks.
Sajar cowered behind the Jedi and the base commander. One of the Jedi, a redheaded human, stood protectively in front of Sajar, unlit duelsaber in hand and glowering furiously at him. No, she wasn't the Angel, she stood behind her, it was clear.
The other, the 'Angel', stood in front of the shield, arms folded, brows furrowed. Another human, she wore less armor than the typical battlefield Jedi, of slim but strong build, but clearly a warrior not to be trifled with from the way she held herself braced for a fight. Her curly dark hair was pulled away from her face in a high bun, stray hairs tumbling loose down her neck, a dark scar slashed through one brow and down her fair-skinned cheek. Green eyes the color of spring stared him down, unintimidated.
The so-called Angel of House Organa, the one that had taken the lead on protecting Sajar, it was...
The moment passed and the universe began to move again, though everything seemed to be happening in slow motion. Revan and Meetra stepped forward, ready to initiate the final confrontation. Scourge knew he had to act now; he had to make his choice. In a sudden moment of clarity he saw the Emperor lying defeated at the feet of a powerful Jedi … but that Jedi was neither Revan nor Meetra. And the Sith Lord knew what he had to do.
It was her.
Three hundred years, six months, two weeks, five days, he had waited, but finally, it was her.
If he could have felt anything but the unending agony of his immortal existence, he would have laughed with joy.
"What a mystery the Force can be," Scourge said, a smile on his face. "I came seeking a traitor, but found you instead. The time draws near."
"You're too late," the girl—and she was still a girl, so young in all the ways that still mattered—spat, voice full of cold fury and her chin held up in defiance. "You won't be killing anyone for the Emperor today, executioner."
He ignored her words, marveling as he studied her. The Force was strong in her, yes, but not in the sense of power. She had plenty of that, but it was how the Force swirled around her, whispering of fate and destiny, threads caught in a wind of change, that was so remarkable. Oh, she was the champion, the Force had decided it—what she did with that was up to her. But what surprised him the most was that in the midst of all of that, an constant undercurrent of rage and hate for him, for the Sith he represented, thrummed within, threaded tightly with grief over... a loss. The death of someone... of her master, of... ah. Orgus Din. He had read the reports of what happened over Tython with Angral, and again at the Maelstrom Prison when Revan was finally freed. This was Aja Verdona, then, the Jedi who had twice defied the Emperor. So young, and already having achieved such victories... and paid a price for them in her soul.
"How fascinating. You're strong, but touched by darkness," he mused to himself. "That is unexpected. An advantage? Possibly..."
"Hey, tall, dark and creepy, quit muttering," the girl behind Verdona threatened. The hint of familiar darkness clicked into place; if she was with Verdona, then she had to be the wayward Child, Kira Carsen, never far behind the so-called Hero of Tython. A shining light, but forever struggling with the tenuous connection to a darkness not her own. How strong the pair was together, how much they had already accomplished, it was something he would have to watch, keep Carsen in mind for future plans. Revan was made stronger by the Exile, the wayward Child could in turn be a great aid to ensuring Verdona succeeded where her predecessor failed.
He had found the one of his vision, but the time was not right, he could sense it. Scourge still had a part to play, and play it he shall. He straightened up, schooling his face into an imperious expression. "You may keep the Dark Council traitor. I smell his weakness," he said contemptuously, meaning every word. Sajar's cowardice disgusted him. "He'll die by his own hand, given the chance."
Verdona raised an eyebrow at him, disbelieving. "What will your master say when you return empty-handed?" she asked cautiously.
Oh, she had an idea of how the game was played. Good. He could build off of that foundation. Scourge waved a dismissive hand in Sajar's direction. "The traitor will be forgotten when I bring him news of his most hated enemy," he said, a smile still on his face. "The Emperor must hear of our meeting. I won't disappoint him with delays."
Scourge dipped into a bow, eyes still on Verdona as she stared at him with confusion. "Farewell, Angel. For now..."
He could feel her eyes on his back as he strode back out of the base, dismissing the Imperial troopers that lurked at the entrance with a wave. As he exited the base and got a lungful of disgusting, poisonous Quesh air, Scourge felt like he was taking a breath for the first time in three centuries.
The time was not here, though he sensed it rapidly approaching. All suddenly, finally felt right, the final missing piece of the puzzle that had eluded him for so long falling right into place. He still could yet not see the path ahead, but at the very least, at last, at last, he knew his next steps.
Starting with maneuvering the Emperor into place. If Verdona was part of Braga's task force, Scourge would have to somehow convince Vitiate not to kill her when they sprung their attack.

Aja's aforementioned several-month stint on Alderaan is part what she gets up to in between Knight Acts One and Two, basically taking the events of Alderaan's planetary story bonus arc and expanding it so that Aja was embedded with Malcom as his secret weapon on the front lines for a while. Her role is basically a one-woman reinforcement team that shows up, wrecks the Imperial war machines, and evacs whatever squad called for help. The 'Angel' moniker she picks up is purposefully super cheesy and she *HATES IT.*

Going "oooooo whats this? o_o" towards the sunken motor carriage, intriguing my partner to only emotionally wreck him. brilliant. getting him hyped on the little moments like fuck the world n piss faggot. getting him super intrigued in dolores dei n jean vic. and kim of course. and the world building in general!! the pale and politics!! so fun even though he was just watching! in the end he was the one urging me to rest before confronting the deserter, only to be confronted w dora. and then im the one being begged by him not to pick the options like [kiss her] while controlling harry? god . its something else . highly recommend

So, Andrei is an Omega. Makarov, an Alpha, knows about it obviously because he read his file REALLY precisely. The only thing that confuses him in the beginning is the lack of scent from Andrei. He wonders if something messed with his profile and really he was a beta. Or it was something chronically that made it practically nonexistent. Only later he found out that in reality Andrei just took suppressants so he didn't have to deal with heats and other Alphas courting him, even though he didn't have to. Why didn't Makarov think of that?
Makarov, who's already in love with him. Andrei is strong, his skills are impressive. He would be a perfect Omega for for the ruthless commander. Makarov accepted his explanation but in reality he was angry. Angry that HIS Omega suppressed his nature and didn't even give him a chance to prove himself as a worthy alpha.
So Makarov made a plan. When Andrei was out on a mission, Makarov sneaked into his room and got rid of the suppressants. Andrei only noticed they were gone a few weeks later when he felt his heat coming up. There isn't enough time to get new ones now and this is his first heat in years so it's going to be intense.
Makarov finds Andrei later in his new build nest, wimpering and moaning while he's desperately trying to ease the pain. Everything worked out for the alpha and now he has Andrei pinned beneath him as he fucks into him. And Makarov is not going to leave until he has left his mark on the Omega.

I love that Makarov makes this an obsession. He was already very drawn to the man, interested in him personally, but he always dismissed the thought because Nolan isn't your usual Omega. Makarov thinks he's actually a Beta for the longest time, with the way he doesn't give anything away and he can't smell it off of him, so maybe his file was wrong. Maybe then Makarov would pursue it, be angry like you said, because how dare Nolan withhold this information from him? They could be perfect together, doesn't he see that? Maybe even feel hurt a little that Nolan never opened up to him. Part of him understands, with the jobs they have, it wouldn't be easy for an Omega. But that makes him respect Nolan even more, to know that he's climbed up the ladder for years despite not having the same "advantage" as others (alphas usually have it easier in their line of work, naturally). I also love how he immediately claims him as HIS. Like, Nolan doesn't even know it, but in Makarov's head they're already together haha. He serves no other man, he won't submit to anyone else other than Makarov and he's an Omega? I mean come on. And Makarov taking it personally, as Nolan not giving him a "chance to prove himself as a worthy alpha" that just goes so well.

I guess it makes sense for him to take the matters into his own hands. Can't even, like, talk it out or something. He has to sabotage Nolan to get his way. Taking his meds away and forcing him into a heat... Weird understanding of consent, but hey, we're assuming Nolan is equally drawn to him here, just not making a move yet.
It would be a lot on Nolan. He's been hiding it so well all these years. And the moment he notices his meds are gone, his whole world is crumbling. It's game over, he can't hide, he needs those meds. Before he can plan something, the lack of suppressants hit him hard, and force him into a loooong awaited heat. A painful one at that too. So he just goes to hide away in a corner. Only to be found by Makarov. Can you imagine? His boss, whom he was painfully yearning after for so long. In the haze of the heat I don't think he'd think very clearly, neither of them, so there's a lot of discussion to be made about the Mark Makarov left on him, but for now they're just. Going at it like crazy. I assume.

Getting you to let down your guard around him, luring you in slowly. He has to take care to not be too abrasive, to ensure he doesn’t catch any unwanted attention for hanging around you. He’d gently coax you closer with small, “innocent” touches that escalate the more you lean into them.
You’re nervous at first when he “accidentally” brushes your hand one day, but then you’ve eventually gotten to the point where it’s actually welcome and makes you blush like hell when he massages your shoulders after a long day, seeing you looking tense.
Once he’s convinced you that you’re the one with the crush, The Wolf will go in for the kill.
