SEVEN #1s ON BB 100 SEVEN #1s OM BB 200!!!!! THATS BTS FOR YOU
when will i see these fans who keeps calling ravi and 4vixx colourists actually talk about the poc fans instead of what they think N feels? oh yeah you’re so close with hakyeon so you know how he’s dealig with his members right? wow!
when will you talk about the fans who are hurt when vixx jokes about hakyeon’s skin color? all you think bout is how your culture so what about our culture? how about our ethnicity? do you honestly just ignore what majority of asian countries feel about colourists remarks or do you only like to think of how it affects your westerner mindset? ASIANS ARE WOKE! but compared to you, we are less aggressive about it that’s why we can fucking take a joke but of course since it’s not part of your ideals we are always wrong. thanks for knowing better than us! have a good life!
DAY 0: Goodbye fear of failure
I have been obsessing over korean idols just to procrastinate, and my procrastination is my coward way of trying not to test myself. I just don’t want to fail, so I focus on some other happy things to distract myself.
But that’s the thing about entertainment. It is meant for distraction. It can’t be the ground of my happiness.
So you see, I have been leaning towards Bangtan nowadays. And what surprises me is that their existence should be inspiring, not distracting.
The guys crawled their way up and against big names through hard work. They are always on the lookout for something better--constantly trying to improve themselves, trying to challenge themselves and achieve further heights. They are never satisfied with ‘good’ and think ‘best’ is never the limit there is.
Yoo Jaesuk, too. I have watched Infinity Challenge’s EXO ep. You could see how hard Yoo-nim was to not just shame EXO, but he’s just being how he is: a downright perfectionist. He gives his all and he works to not regret later on.
But here I am, cowering from the idea of failure. Doing everything half-baked, and wondering why the hell am I acting like shit.
So what am I trying to say in this blog post? Maybe a breakdown of things I have been trying to tell to myself will do.
1. Entertainment is a work for them. It is their dream, and they are living and working for it. Hear that whisper of reality saying it’s work for them, so don’t center your life on it.
2. Your life should not revolve around distractions. It could be part of happiness for you, but it should not be your source of happiness. At the end of the day, never lose sight of your goal and dream: to be a good lawyer.
3. Your dream matters. You matter. Don’t let people say otherwise.
4. You may fail, but that does not make less of your value. What matters is if you could tell to yourself and to your parents that you worked really hard.
5. What is worse than failure is the lack of courage to try.
So it’s 4:17am, September 26, 2016.
Restarting my perspective in life and in acads,

PS:To my future self (and hopefully to my future lawyer self), I am trying to be you. It’s tough, but I am getting the hang of it.
Lazy weekend, goodbye kpop?, popcorn
This weekend I stayed home. I just wanted to rest. It’s the first weekend to do nothing since I have been busy the previous 3 weekends before. Heck all the weekends this month I was doing something. Between packing, flying to another country, flying to another state, and even a concert, I needed a break.
I also wanted to get my place back in order. I couldn’t do that last weekend with a concert the day after I came back and only one real day to do other things and rest before work the next day. So~ I most of it Friday evening. It was cooler after it rained too. So it was perfect.
At first I just cleared off my desk, then it went to cleaning up everything. Cleared out my suitcases finally and tossed two of them. One barely made it back to Korea from the states and the other one I had from when I first moved here. The first one I mentioned was the one I bought for Europe. So in the matter of 6~7 months it’s been 15 flights along with a ton of lifting up and down stairs. It did well.
As I mentioned before I tossed out the cds. I had them for sale at one point. But ended that right before the Europe trip because people didn’t understand how to respect privacy. So, I tossed them out. The money was already spent and it’s at that point I don’t even care about the loss. It’s been over a year since I bought a cd. Back then it seemed like a good idea to buy them. I had plans of when I get home to listen to them and such. Yet, for a year or almost a year I just didn’t see that happening anymore. I’m not going to pack them up to send them via koreapost, won’t take them in my suitcases as they weigh too much themselves and I won’t move with them again. So, best thing for me personally to do just to get rid of them asap? Toss them out. Don’t have to worry about people asking about them or anything. And it feels freaking awesome.
It feels like a chapter in my life finally ending. I was a hardcore kpop fan since I was like 12 or 13. I have spent over half of my life (literally) into it. Before youtube and all. I remember waiting for them to post the videos on the artist’s website with the crappy video players and freaking out a new video was uploaded. Or how the fancafe was basically on the artist’s website and made some pretty good friends back then. Heck there was this website in 2007/2008 called iple that all the kpop stars had accounts on. It was basically another cyworld. You bet I had an account too.
But now I am older. I don’t care much about any of the new groups or new people. I barely care in general. If I hear something I like I will listen to it but don’t expect me to get tol hype about any of it. The excitement has died out for the most part.
I don’t know if it’s because since being here it’s so available. It could be the fact that I have ran across so many kpop idols by accident I’m sick and tired of it. They lost their appeal. Or it’s because I have seen everyone that I wanted to see. I have been thinking for awhile if there’s anyone else I really wanted to see since forever and come up with nothing. There’s no one I have to see anymore. Some are impossible and I don’t feel like going through the trouble or dealing with the fans. So my list is done. Maybe, it’s a mixture of it all, but I’m over it. I have other things to focus on. Not even Jaejoong can faze me much these days. Plus, I can spend my money and time in better ways.
Like travelling and saving~! Oh yeah~
Not saying I won’t listen to kpop ever again. I’m just not crazy about it anymore. Never been one of those fans that scream about it or anything. Nothing is worth me screaming unless I am dying for real. Even then that depends on the situation.
Basically kpop will just be in the mix of all my other music that I listen to.
Now pushing that aside and back on topic. I cleaned up my place completely. And even worked out.
Also, I bought a popcorn maker and pocorn stuff~! I’m really into popcorn in general. Then it hit me it’s way cheaper to make it than to buy it. Plus I won’t have to spend money to travel to and from Seoul for it either. ta-da~ got my own stuff. I just have to master that caramel though.
So um yeah that has been my lazy weekend. Hehe
I’m making some changes to this blog also. So be on the look out.
Until next time~! (I’m thinking about changing this too.)
Thats me leaving for my holiday i will be back friday. See you tumblr.
