Today is our last full day in Bali. We have moved from our Nusa Dua hotel to the Hardrock hotel in Kuta. It is a kids heaven with the biggest pool in Bali, complete with slides, play area and fake sandy beach! It's our last bit of luxury and a great way to end our Balinese adventure. Our Nusa Dua hotel was pretty great too with the sweetest kids club. I'd never thought about kids club before and we were super nervous about actually leaving the kids there for an hour but the staff were great and the kids loved it. Robin and me got to actually sunbathe, have a cheeky cocktail and even played a group game of beach volleyball (which I totally sucked at!!!) We also all braved a banana boat experience (well Lois and me braved it. Robin and Link took it in there stride!) Which was great fun and exhilarating flying through the sea at great speed. Much to Robins embarrassment I did make us move rooms twice though as the first one was the noisiest room going and the second one.... well the second room was ground floor and after a morning of splashing around in the pool we went back to the room to freshen up. The kids had run around the garden way so I walked through to open the patio style doors to find a scorpion 🦂 on one of them!!!! An actual real scorpion, too my surprise they are not actually that big about the size of your little finger. After a hotel staff member wrested it out the room none of us wanted to hand around and see it it had friends there... so we moved up to the third floor. All in all though we did have a relaxing time there which was the plan. Today I plan on soaking up the Bali sun and reflecting on my time spent in this fantastic little island. I hope my blogs have done Bali justice as l do hold a soft spot for it in my heart. I feel like although tomorrow we say goodbye I don't feel like it's forever.
