Feet For Walking. I have a love affair with #ChuckTaylors and when I was teaching and getting paid well, owned too many pairs of it (which I eventually gave away because bad memories borne of broken heart, haha). This one though I've had longer than most my shoes, since 2009 I think, and has gone to many trips and rallies with me, and took a beating at the 2013 rallies against the pork barrel -- that Luneta rally happened despite rains and the mud was something else. Wore this for the last time two days ago for the Kadamay program at Agham Road that didn't require a lot of walking, but I could feel it didn't have the same stability (was slipping at the overpass), and I came home with a painful leg and blistered feet that didn't used to happen before. I realized I had worn out the soles of this pair, and while I'm thinking twice about spending for new Chucks, I'm kind happy that this one's been so well-used and has aged as much as I have since 2009! Always good to get your money's worth yeah? #GoodbyeChucks PS: Is there a really good, sturdy, comfy local sneaker brand I can try? 💋👟🚶🏽♀️
