I support of the Midwest Coast: The Great Lakes are considered inland, freshwater seas by many people. If the Sea of Galilee is allowed to be a sea, the Great Lakes, which are much larger are definitely seas.

After the Transcendence, do you think eventually mixed kids (as in children that are part human part humanoid/nonhuman) would start popping up? Not at first, but within the first century or so the first interspecies child would be born.

Hmmm... I'm torn with this. On one hand, I'm an absolute sucker for inter-species couples as far as supernatural stuff goes, they are cute as heckie

But it just doesn't seem quite so realistic to me. All supernatural creatures essentially come from another dimension (this will be elaborated upon when I finally put up a more detailed synopsis of the plot and what happened in the Transcendence)... but as far as biology goes, you do have similar species interbreeding in real life.

I'd say it's possible, but it would be really rare. As in real life, mixed breeds run the risk of having boat loads of health problems and deformities and such. There might be a few species more compatible with others, but for the most part, there isn't much mingling as far as biological children go. Relationships are a whole other matter!
