2019 Honda Accord Hybrid EX The 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid is a great car. It’s roomy, drives well, and extremely safe. The fact that it’s a hybrid is the icing on the top of a very well built cake. The coupe-like design provides a lot more style compared to the previous generation; while improving interior space as well. The interior has a large,horizontal tablet display that is pleasing to the eye. The seats are large to accommodate a multitude of body shapes. The plasticy steering wheel in the EX isn’t the greatest feeling, but step up to an EX-L or above and you’ll have the pleasure of grasping a softly padded leather wheel. The steering is accurate, but lacks the feel I long to find in sportier cars. It seems that I like everything about this car. Well, almost. There’s one aspect of this car that I cannot stand: the CVT engine. At low speeds and low RPM the engine noise is bearable or when in EV mode and not running at all it is heavenly. However, when you have to merge onto the highway or just need to get up to speed the the CVT drone is awful. Basically, if you want to drive the car slow and gradually get up to speed then you’ll have a peaceful almost tranquil experience. However, when you slam down on the accelerator, get ready for a battle between the ears. All peacefulness escapes while every bit of annoyance enters your being. Anyway, if you think you can live with the CVT drone every now and again the 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid is a wonderful vehicle for short drives or long journeys.
