day 1 of begging for gigi praise kink 💙
If you get something short will you leave me alone?

Tell me
Gigi liked praise. No, scratch that. Gigi loved and breathed for it. She did feel shame about how much she craved it, and for that reason she never talked it. None of her friends could ever know this little secret.
Gigi stirred the pot. It was her turn to cook dinner for the little collective she lived in. She had looked through at least a dozen recipe websites to find something decent that could feed a crowd. She was very much still a beginner, fumbling her way through the art of making something edible. The last time she made something, the vegetables in the oven had burnt and the rice were mushy like glue.
Crystal had laughed, telling her how cute it was that she could manage to mess up that much. Nicky had been a little mean, her barbs as sharp as ever. She quickly backtracked when she saw how distraught Gigi became from her little comments, ordering her to sit down while she fixed the situation.
This time, Gigi was sure that she had nailed it. Only an idiot could mess up soup, and she was almost certain she wasn't one of those. Nicky and Crystal would come home, smell the delicious soup and praise her for her ingenuity. Those sweet words would brighten an otherwise cold and miserable day, she was sure of it.
With 10 minutes to spare before their usual dinner time, Crystal was the first one home. The clacking of her keys with way too many charms and loud shucking of boots were the tell tale sign of her most colourful roommate being home.
"Welcome home," Gigi turned to greet Crystal.
"What are you making?" Crystal asked, getting behind Gigi so that she could rest her head on her shoulder. The concoction in front of her smelled alright, nothing out of the ordinary. But still, Crystal was wary. Gigi could be making any sort of cursed mystery dish, disguising it as ordinary and edible food.
"I'm making soup," Gigi was so sure of herself. Everything was going according to plan.
"Have you tasted it yet?" Crystal had to make sure Gigi didn't mess up this time before anyone else was home.
"No, why?"
"You have to taste food before you serve it to anyone silly."
Crystal grabbed a spoon from the drawer, lowering it into the normal looking broth. With slight worry, she blew on it to cool it down before putting it into her mouth. In a matter of seconds, Crystal had spit it out and doused her tongue in water from the sink.
"Gigi. What in the world did you put in that soup?" Crystal was still reeling from the experience.
"Just vegetables and some salt," Gigi said in a questioning tone. How could she have messed up this time? She had followed the recipe to a T. "What's wrong with it?"
"I think you might have put the Atlantic ocean in there. Just how much salt did you put in?"
"A normal amount. My mother always tells me to salt the water with a good few handfuls," Gigi no longer felt confident in what she had been doing for the past couple hours.
"Gigi, that's..." Crystal put her hand on Gigi's arm for support. She was really something else. "That's what you do for pasta."
"We do have pasta. Maybe I could throw some in to save it," Gigi completely missed the point, clueless as to why Crystal strengthened her grip at her statement.
Crystal's snort took Gigi by surprise. "You really are something else. You're so wonderful, please never change."
Crystal's kind words made Gigi forget all about her faux pas with the soup. A few words were all that it took to make Gigi's brain melt away in a puddle.
Nicky found them wrapped into a tight hug when she came home, quiet as a mouse. She found great amusement in startling them.
"So what are you two up to?" Nicky asked, breaking the silence.
"Oh uhm. I'm just telling Gigi how proud I am of her," Crystal replied, her tone wavering. She broke off the hug, now aware of how awkward it was with a spectator watching them. "She's been doing really well lately," Crystal didn't elaborate on what she meant by that.
Those extra few words of positivity thrown Gigi's way had her wanting for more. What she didn't count on was it being Nicky who gave her what she needed.
"That so? Our little Gigi has been a good girl for us?" Nicky was only teasing, finding amusement in getting Gigi's attention at something that small. Very interesting.
"Yeah," Crystal stammered out. Whatever Nicky's endgame was, she wanted nothing to do with it. "Gigi has been a good girl."
"I think that should be rewarded, no?" Nicky was now close, invading both of their personal spaces. With a finger, Nicky turned Gigi's head towards her. "Do you want to be a good girl for me too, hmm?"
Gigi was weak in the knees, and could barely swallow her spit. More, she needed more. "Yes."
