Shit Story
So today we were taking this dumbass writing assignment, and I was like “fuck this, I need music.” Plus, basically half the class was listening so music, so why not. Some time afterward, my teacher goes “okay, whoever’s music that is, I absolutely love it, but it’s kinda distracting to the class.” And everyone was like hmmm who was that? and they kept trying to guess who it was. I was blasting classical music for a solid thirty minutes, and nobody said a word. And I just slowly turn off spotify and put away my headphones, and the kid next to me who was in the middle of arguing, just sees my bright red face, and kinda nods, and continues to argue, but switches the blame onto his friend.

Wishing a very happy Father’s Day to all the father figures in our lives!
Today (and every day) we give special thanks to our Keepers. It takes an extraordinary person to raise orphaned elephants. Our Keepers often remark that they have their human children and their elephant children — but really, they’re all their children! They provide each with a lifetime of love, dedication, and support.
Orphans like Toto (seen here) will be guided by his Keepers every step of the way, until he is ready to reclaim his place in the wild. Ask any Keeper about their greatest pride, and you will likely hear the same answer: It is to see ‘their’ babies grow up happy and healthy, and for them to ultimately start their own families. That is true fatherhood!
