"You idiot, we could have been us"
Okay it is time for me to try and articulate my opinion on the go3 Finale. It's been a couple of days since watching it and I believe I can somewhat pinpoint my Feelings on it now.
God there is so much I wamt to comment on..., let's go:
(But first off: I am not going to go into A&C relationship too much, there is a lot to say and many people have done so, maybe I will on another post go into my thoughts on it, but this one is not it)
So back to the point:
Jesus: what the eff was his point? He was only squeezed in because he was teasered in season 2 we all agree on that right? Absolutely lovely character with soooo much potential completely wasted.
The story around the bentley: what the hell? Crowley losing it in a game of monopoly ok kind of funny, but everything else especially Azi winning it back with the crosswordpuzzle? To me it felt dumb and like they only took it away to have a reason for crowley to sleep in the Alley...
The whole eternal flame came out of nowhere. Like s2 presented the book of life as the ultimate Tool of destruction - oh no being erased means you never existed at all...never mind that that makes for an extremely convoluted story with an ever changing reality... sound fun actually if it was executed well but back to the point: now we need an even bigger magical tool of destruction to destroy the first one? What next, ultra holy water that can erase the flame? Though I guess the flame was in the book and was destroyed when the book burned, except that means the bookshop was more powerful than the eternal flame,.... yeah it's not adding up
The flying Bentley... I think I see the vision. It sort of fits with the burning Bentley and the flying scooter from s1, but there is none of the irony, of the weight to it, it's just a random action movie scene and looked def. the cheapest from all of them
Side Note: I really missed God's commentary
I think that was the biggest issues I have - except of course that last scene. Oh god that last scene I have no idea how to even start. Allright let's try this: The new universe (newniverse 😅🙈) is created completely without heaven and hell. That's basically the whole point. What then is the graffiti behind Anthony? Why are there angels? Did humanity come up with the concept on their own? Did maybe some sort of remnants or memory remain from the start? What then exactly was the difference to the original universe? Because we have been shown time and time again that free will has always been a thing. Even among angels and demons, yes they weren't supposed to have free will, but that's only their job, agin and again and again they acted on their own accord. So we are to believe, that heaven and hell/ angels and demons don't exist but humanity invented all of it anyway and history presumably took place exactly as the first time?
And then there is Adam (and Jesus to be exact) Adam (The Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Prince of this World and Lord of Darkness...) in a world without H², Heaven and Hell, where is he coming from? Is Satan a random dude living in London? Or is he the Darlings son? If so where is Warlock? You know, the Darlings original son, before the Babys were switched? And to be honest in a new universe neither one of them should have been born, that's way to much of a coincidence.
Which sort of swings around to Jesus because he also should not be born at the same time. He was (quite famously) born oh around year 0 (yeah I know that's not true, but for arguments sake) he was definitely not born around 1900something so WHY WAS HE THERE? WHY WAS ANYONE OF THEM THERE? AT THE SAME TIME - IN THE SAME DINER - IF NONE OF IT WAS DIVINELY INTERVENED????
In Japanese culture Hatsuyume is the first dream one has in the new year. Traditionally, the contents of such a dream would foretell the luck of the dreamer in the ensuing year.
It is considered particularly good omen to dream of Mt Fuji, a fox, or an eggplant.
Insightful, crafty, intelligent, COOL, and ominous as anything. Who else would want a crow as a familiar?
I’m feeling peckish @nyx-w would you like to have some tea and Eccles cakes with me?
It's a beautiful life 🌈☀️
