Questions for the Mun

♣ ;; Is there an author(s) that you look up to with your writing skills?

Author? Like...a book author?? To be completely and utterly honest, I read way too many books to narrow it down to one, especially since i have a bad habit of finishing full series in a week...

I am a fan of Cassandra Clare and Rick Riordan’s writing, though, although naturally both could use some work at times, as everyone’s does.

♦  ;;  What’s an AU that you’ve always wanted?

Modern magic AUs always seem to be really fun to me for some reason? More opportunities for goofing off and all that, more dangerous usages and I’ve also never been really good with more medieval settings...so it’d be more easy for me, too.

⚜ ;; What is the best time to write for you? Why?

Late at night, usually. Never in the morning. My tiredness gives me motivation or I think ‘OK, I gotta finish this before bed, I can do it’. As long as I have music blasting, it becomes relatively easier than doing it earlier in the day!

☣ ;; What's one thing that will make you drop a thread?

Godmodding, insta-killing, basically doing the extremes to my muse without permission. It’s like, you know, I’d honestly probably let you fuck him up if you’d just ask me first, but the fact that you think you would automatically just be able to do what you want is more than off-putting. Permission exists for a reason, my friend. You never know when you’re gonna make someone straight up uncomfortable.

ツ ;; Who has been your favorite muse to play so far? Why?

Oh my god...I don’t even know? Proton has definitely ranked top tier so far due to the fact of the sheer amount of fun I have rping him and everything else, but I think my favorite muse that will always hold a place in my heart is probably Robert Haydn from the Law of Ueki. My child....he had so much fucked up shit and he was terrible but I found him truly interesting for his issues and his past and his behavior towards people. I’d RP him again in the proper setting, I think.

It was a shame how long hasn’t been in touch with the Mekakushi Dan, especially during and after what recently happened in the city. Hoping nobody was going to hate her for it, she - at least now - approached everyone one by one. Shyly, she tugged on Ayano’s arm. 

   “Nee-chan? You okay? I’m so sory we haven’t talked in a while.”

Switcheroo for Izaya or the Saniwa :)

Send me “Switcheroo!” and I’ll redesign your muse as if they were from my muse’s universe 

Izaya Orihara possesses the Serpent of Appraisal Eyes, which grants him an uncanny awareness of the behaviors and attitudes of those he meets eyes with.

Though always naturally cunning, Izaya’s younger years were a little bit different than his current affairs. His early years of high school found him embroiled in some personal problems that just may have spelled his early end–

Or so it seemed.

Aware of the Heat Haze from an old storybook in the library, a lengthy period of personal research led to the daring decision to willingly invoke his own death, along with that of someone he talked into it, with the absolute intention of acquiring a snake of his own. It worked. After escaping the Haze and leaving his hapless victim trapped inside, Izaya found himself with a powerful snake that made guessing human nature…second nature.

The only catch? It’s a little more difficult to get a read on someone not entirely human, but that doesn’t hamper his own personal cleverness much. Years pass since that day and Izaya’s got quite the subtle grip on the entirety of Ikebukuro and Tokyo at large…though most aren’t even aware of his influence.

Just for fun:

Open warfare raged throughout the cities, with the fighting being exceptionally aggressive near the portals. As Shintaro crossed over from the Hive he’d been forced to call home for so very long, he took the time to acclimate himself to his surroundings.

Sector Six. A lot of greenery. Likely a makeshift park area. How charming.

A dispassionate scan of the area ensued as Shintaro started to walk, his steps resigned. His pure black wear was every bit as featureless as his eyes--sharp, and pitch-colored, with nothing reflecting in those empty depths.

A scar was visible at his throat, somewhat healed over, but evident of a nasty wound sustained from once upon a time. He wasn’t here to slaughter, to win for his Hive, because it made no difference to him if he died or if they died or if anyone died. He just wanted to get away from her.

It was not to be.

He caught the visages of an all too familiar sight; the color of his nightmares, lately. Shintaro tensed immediately, glaring at her, caught between exhausted surrender and a want, a need, to lash out. If she was anything like the Ayano he knew...

A pistol of Otherworld design found its way to his hand. His voice was flat and hollow.”Move an inch and I’ll shoot. Even if you use Favor on me--I won’t miss.”

tit for tat, watching the “third” to last strongest female struggle with a hammer surely wasn’t his idea of spending a friday afternoon. it never is, but when his big sister dotes, pauses, for longer than four seconds - he takes caution to wait on her to figure out what makes her light up quite like that. 

that’s how he spends his days. making every one of her reserved ideas she’s too polite to bring up, his. because that’s the only way she’ll address them. pausing for moments at a time, when he has an idea where he wants to go, solving the mystery of what brings about pure wonder to the most obvious person in the world. 

he says that? but that’s the only thing that’s obvious about her, and he’s not sure anyone else realizes.  

it’s basically kind of lonely, when she’s not around. he pinches the nail secure into place, steadying her wrist briefly. as he watches, his fingers dart away. she’s got this, right? 

he always keeps his hands pocketed around her, but for this occasion, their “hands-on” activity requires them both out. wielding a hammer makes her look like she’s done this all her life, though no one that knows her would recommend her come anywhere near hard work. and that’s why he 

totally misses out on the hammer swinging down to an untimely meet with his fingertip, letting out a ghastly howl that means he wasn’t paying attention, and he wasn’t. kano bites down on his lip, holding down the plank in place and blinks twice, three times to look up at her. 

she didn’t react. kano, chewing at the inside of his cheek sighs through his nose and his shoulders catching serve as the first indicators that something’s “wrong,” and proved wrong when a follow-up laugh vibrates through his chest cavity. all signs put together, it’s as if he’s remembered an inside-joke or a happening from a week back.

“-p -pffffbblt.” he sniggers, nail wobbling as his own nails (paler than ever) ever since her impeccable aim, the nail dropping onto the board on its side. quickly catching it with a swift grab, with his other hand he replaces the nail that should be secured in the board. 

That was actually a close one. 

He pats the side of the counter, hanging his head all brief and melodramatically. “I think we got it. 

One more shot, really get it in there!” He peeks up at her, winking. “Then we’ll call it a day.”

Manual half-singed from a culinary accident? (The one they desperately need.) 

   Some of the pages are – well, melded together and it looks something huge took a bite out of it! 

Tools dispersed this way and that, a handful of them rolled under set stove as a legitimate fire hazard? They’re only semi-equipped, but that’s going to have to do! All things checked in order.

The whole kitchen looks like a rushed evacuation, all current appliances unplugged from the wall. 

It looks like the kitchen on any other day that Mary offers to bake. (Most times they’re able to win her over with an easy bake, but not always.)

It just so happens, today’s a little different, and Mary is nowhere in sight! 

“I think we’re ready!” 

This is less terrifying, but being two of the most accidentally prone people in the house, if they put their capable selves together… Something will come out of it, won’t it? 

Or so that’s how it could go. 

“Aaaah okay I think we’ve got it!” Legs swinging from the table and narrowly missing him in the face, rather, they’ve attached all four legs, checked to make sure the dining surface is even with the ground. And it is. 

There’s just one thing, as Seto holds himself up with the wall’s support - assembly wasn’t the hard part, but making sure this could hold was another! “Are we all good up there?” He checks over his shoulder, looking anywhere else but the decent crop of skirt. if it weren’t for it being Seto, they’d get a view of just leg and nothing else – for anyone else, that’d be a problem, 

   as it was, this was Seto, the only thing worried about keeping himself grounded! 

But he wonders if Ayano’s feeling just as safe up there… 

   From a pressing 6ft up, he’s glad for their high ceiling. “– You think we can start using this?” 

Seto asks in a lilt, for her honest opinion. He trusts Ayano to at least give hers out, hence she’s personally testing it out for him. Face focused for a second as he spots the kitchen for where they might put the thing, he adjusts his grip on the corner of the table. 

“We can seat everyone at the one we have, but it’s a little cramped…”  He muses, not minding the weight placement and barely realizes just at how steep an angle he held Ayano on his shoulder. He wouldn’t have, not until she slid down the table and bumped into the side of his head. “oh -”, He glances back up at her, slightly embarrassed. “Did. 

a whole moment’s worth of distress crosses his face, “do you want me to put you down?”

But how to put her down. Without slamming the newly assembled staple piece of furniture into anything, or making his worker partner startle. They were in a bit of a predicament! On a scale from 1-10, Ayano’s rank of comfort is at an unreadable ??? which he could make more sense of

If he’d just asked. He could’ve thought that one up ten minutes ago.

Don't go where I can't follow.

Pretty demanding, for the one person that entered and repealed from his light at a record breaking speed of “but no, wait,” “this can’t be the only way.” “why are you doing this” and, 

“I believe you.”

Ayano does what she wants. when she wants, no doubt about it. try being the only person that she promised anything when things were ‘going on’, try the only person who cared enough to tell him things that were going to be okay when they weren’t.  

He loved her, but he wasn’t stupid.

“Me? go anywhere without you? don’t be daft…” 

“I’ve always got you. wherever you go, I go, remember? That’s just the way it is…” 

He laughs, grabbing for his hood habitually, set in a broad grin. “You get frightened by the weirdest things.”

The look on his face? It’s not a mystery, not to her, it’s one that can’t say no to her. 

That much is clear. 

“I don’t dream trying to run from you. Are you kidding?”

“Wherever I go,” you’ll know. “It’s usually where you’re headed.” 

It’s like she wants to plan things in reverse, so they’ll go her way. 

“Easier that way, for the rest of us.”

But they always do.
