Maybe James’ place hadn’t been her perfect idea of a place to crash at, but while her things in her apartment were being fixed, it was the best and only option. Like hell she could spend money on a hotel; it was unsure how long that renovating would even take.
But to top it all off, he had a kid. She wasn’t great with kids, by any means, but the least she could do was help out a little, right?
Especially when at 4am, the wailing could be heard down the corridor again - she had lost count how many times that night it had woken her up. Eventually though, she was sitting up from the couch, and attempting to rub the sleep from her eyes, groaning a little. It was only fair to take a turn and give the poor guy a break.
