sometimes i really miss my good omens fic writing days......last one i wrote is an unfinished one from 2016 that i occasionally daydream about finishing. it was just so fun and a great way to practice writing and i loved being part of a fandom in that way.

writing fic was also a vital part of my coming into my own queerness. i moved from still-not-sure-about-the-whole-gay-thing to embracing and loving being queer. i started falling in love with my now-wife in the midst of my fic writing days and i swear i can mark the progression of my crush on her within how i wrote Aziraphale’s and Crowley’s relationship lmao. i also got to explore gender stuff through them. just. i love that about fic and fandom! i think it provides a medium for lots of us to explore in this way — with feedback and support from others!

the good omens fandom has changed drastically since the show came out and i’m not involved in it anymore and i miss it. those were good times.

anyway it’s 5am and i’m looking through my phone notes at fic fragments and ideas i never wrote....no clue what the majority of them are even supposed to mean! but here are my favorites — some cuz they are actually compelling and some cuz they’re completely nonsensical this many years out from jotting them down

they come to chide him for using his powers

"Well how would you like living without powers, like boring humans?"

Makes them human, refuses to fix it for a while]

For Aziraphale's sake.]

[In Greek myths, heroes must undertake a journey into the underworld to complete their quest.

Crowley would have been just fine with the underworld. It was no Herculean labor to get into Hell. Heaven, on the other hand...]

[Azi's new human form is shorter than usual--"Is heaven downsizing?" Crowley snickers]

[“Because we're friendsss, Aziraphale!"

Aziraphale's heart twisted at the word friend, but he refused to let it show. His kept his next words cold--he had to get Crowley to leave.

"You seem to be confused, demon. We are mortal enemies. I cannot help you. Good bye."

[then Aziraphale does lots of cute things to make it up to him]]

(Yes I know it's not a bently, and yes I know the color is obviously wrong, but a car like this just happens to pull into my rinky dink lil town, right in front of my dad's shop on the day I get my Crowley shades? Like hell that's a coincidence, fight me.)
