isnt it crazy that not all that long ago, people were worried about privacy with google maps driving a car around for street view? and then when google glass first came out, people hated the idea that someone could be *gasp* filming??? out in public??? without you knowing or consenting???
and now people film people in public all the time, AND companies are pushing it even further with new version of google glass. and if you complain about it, people reply saying "well you shouldnt go outside if you dont want to be recorded"
and, in a tangentially related point, i think there's something in this about the way ai companies were scraping up all the information they could which included posts on all kinds of forums, subreddits, blogs, etc.
and now theres a similar "well if you didnt want your post or art to be sucked into the copyright infringement machine, you shouldn't have put it on the internet"
