Hey so Samsung Messages is going away in lieu of Google messages this June. Samsung is trying to force us all to use Google messages if we want to recieve texts.

You don't have to! There are alternatives! You have choices they don't want you to know about, because they certainly didn't give you any other options.

I haven't tried any of these yet, but i refuse to use Google messages and have them selling my text message data to advertisers and ICE. So i'm going to try them and i'll let you know what i think. If I forget, just nudge me 💀

Samsung is switching from SMS to goddamn Google messages. By July, we have no choice. So, I gotta choose between figuring out how to keep my private convos private in their settings, getting a new phone/giving Apple my money or switching to WhatsApp when no one I know uses it and they just had a major breech.
