Írásba is adtuk: Őszi nagy középmezőnyös kitekintő okostelefon-földén

Amíg az ember pillanatok alatt elveszti a fonalat a piacvezető márkák Dunát rekesztő középkategóriás készülékáradatában, addig könnyen szem elől téveszhetjük azokat a modelleket, melyek a kevésbé trendi(nek gondolt) márkáktól érkeztek a piacra és próbálják meghódítani azokat, akik a félmilliós csúcsmodellek felét sem adnák ki egy új készülékért. (A témát egyébként nemrég kiveséztük rádiódadás fromájában is, ha inkább hallgatnád, mint olvasnád, kattints ide!)

A listában találunk itt olyan patinás neveket, mint a Sony vagy a Motorola, de a Nothing is pár éve már jelen van a piacon, a Google pedig egyet jelent az Androiddal, csupán idehaza eddig kicsit nehézkesebb volt beszerezni a hivatalos garanciával ellátott Pixel okostelefonokat. Ám mivel ez idén nyáron megváltozott, végre joggal vethettük össze a Pixel 8a-t a Nothing Phone 2a Plus-szal, a Motorola Edge 50 Neoval és a Sony Xperia 10 VI-os modelljével.

Dizájn és külsőségek: Külcsínre a Sony vette legegyszerűbbre a formát: egy szimpla téglatest, mely tesztalaanyunk esetében visszafogott pasztell lila színű és amelyből még a kamerák sem igazán emelkednek ki, viszont a 21:9-es képarányú, 6,1 colos kijelző háborítatlan, nincs belógó szelfi modul és az emiatt vastagabb kávák sem zavaróak.

Érdekes módon a Pixel 8a azonos méretű kijelzőjét övező fekete sáv sokkal feltűnőbb, pedig itt sem számít kifejezetten hangsúlyosnak a keret. A Googel telefonja egyébként szolidan viszi tovább a tavalyi csúcsmodellek dizájnelemeit, a kamerákat övező szürke kiemelkedő sáv a fehér hátlapon ugyan szükségtelenül ormótlannak hathat, azonban eléggé figyelemfelkeltő is ahhoz, hogy az átlag szemlélőnek kitűnjön a tömegből, tehát mondhatni stílusos, de visszafogott.

Nem úgy, mint a Motorola és a Nothing, előbbi a francia Pantone intézettel együttműködve rikító színekbe és az ahhoz teljesen illeszkedő tokba öltözött, a Nothingnál pedig már régóta eldobták a formatervezők a józan eszüket és az alapvetően szögletes élekkel operáló készülék a kamu átlátszó hátlapjával és az alatta húzódó “hamis szalagkábel” dizájnelemeivel nem újdonság, a Plus modell ezüstös szürkéjének köszönhetően azonban ez a dizájn még sosem nézett ki ennyire jól.

Ergonómiáról összességében elmondható, hogy mindegyik készüléket kényelmes kézben tartani és hosszabb ideig használni, de a sorrendben talán a Sony a “legkezesebb”, mögötte a rangsorban a tenyérbesimuló Pixel, míg a Motorola a 6,4 a Nothing pedgi a maga 6,7 colos kijelzője miatt sem annyira kezes.

Adatkapcsolat: Természetesen mindegyik készülék 5G képes, a dual-SIM is alap elvárás manapság, azonban fizikailag két kártyát csak a Nothingkezel, a Sony, a Motorola és a Pixel esetében a második kizárólag elektronikus, vagyis eSIM lehet, míg a Nothing ennek kezelésére még mindig képtelen, ami a gyártó nagy hiányossága, míg a Sony az egyetlen memóriakártyával bővíthető készülék a mezőnyben. Ráadásul az Xperia 10 SIM-és memkártya tálcája mindenféle segédeszköz és tű nélkül, pusztán körömmel kivehető az IP68-as védettség mellett is, sokat utazóknak ez egy nagyon kényelmes megoldás lehet.

Hardveres teljesítmény: Ezen a téren a Sony a korosodó Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1-es lapkájával hozza a legalacsonyabb számokat a külfönféle szintetikus teljesítmény teszteken, a Motorola és a Nothing egyaránt a MediaTek költséghatékony megoldásaira szavazott, teljesítményben a két központi egység nagyon hasonló, míg a mezőny legerősebbje kétségkívül a Pixel 8a, melynek belsejében a Google által tervezett és 2023-ban még csúcskategóriában hadba fogott Tensor G3-at találjuk. Számoktól és teljesítmény adatoktól függetlenül azonban az általános hasznlat mindegyik készülék esetében jónak mondható, talán a Sony gondolkodik a legtöbbet a napi feladatok során, de alapvetően mindegyik modell jól használható.

Alkalmazások futtatására 8 gigabájt rendszermemória már elvárható a kategóriában, ezt persze mindegyik készülék teljesíti is, kiszereléstől és felártól függően egyik-másik akár 12-vel is rendelhető, de sokkal érdekesebb a tárhely kérdése, melyből a Motorola és a Nothing 256 gigabájtot nyújt, míg a Sony és a Google csak ennek felét, de a japán gyártó legalább a tárhely bővítés lehetőségét meghagyta így előbbinél memóriakártyával, a Pixel 8a esetében pedig a tárhely extra felárával érdemes készülni a sokat fotózóknak és videózóknak.

Szoftver és felhasználói élmény: Kis túlzással mondhatnánk, hogy szoftver terén nüansznyiak a különbségek, a most tesztre fogott valamennyi készülék gyártója a minél letisztultabb és minél kevesebb módosítással tarkítottt androdios kezelőfelületben hisz. Az alapot a Pixel szolgáltatja, hisz ezen a modellen fut AZ Android, ahogy azt a Google elképzeli. Letisztult kezelőfelület pár Google sajátossággal, melyek nagy részét előbb-utóbb minden más gyártó beépítheti saját készülékeibe, frissítéseket és biztonsági támogatást pedig 2031(!) májusáig ígér a keresőóriás.

A Motorola szoftvere a HelloUI, a gyári androidhoz néhány extra widgettel, Motorola-féle szülői felügyelet funkciókkal és pár apró, de nem csak a gyártótól beszerezhető szolgáltatással turbózza fel a gyári kínálatot, egyetlen szoftveres extrát leszámítva, ez pedig az úgynevezett asztali mód: Az Edge 50 Neo a mezőnyben egyedülálló módon vezeték nélküli képmegosztás segítségével asztali PC felületet biztosít.

Ennek köszönhetően egy külső billentyűzet és egér segítségével, vagy akár csak a készülék képernyőjét használva mindkét funkcióhoz  egyfajta mini számítógépet kapunk, de a kivetítést használhatjuk multimédia lejátszóként vagy konzol-szerű játékgépként is, a felület ugyanis indításkor lehetővé teszi, hogy válasszunk ezen felhasználási módok közül és ehhez igaztja  a képernyő tartalmát. Ilyen képességet többnyire csak a drágább okostelefonokban találunk - a Samsung híres DeX felülete például csak a gyártó S szériájában érhető el az Edge 50 Neonál jóval magasabb árszinten.

A Sony puritán szoftverének legnagyobb előnye az egykezes használatra szabott megoldásokban rejlik: A gesztusvezérléssel bárhonnan elérhető értesítési tálca már alap, de a kijelző oldalsó határaihoz rögzíthető lebegő menü nagyon hasznos: Itt testreszabhatóan érhetünk el rendszerkapcsolókat az adatkapcsolathoz, Bluetooth vezérléshez, hotspothoz, kijelző forgatáshoz, gyakorlatilag mindenhez, amihez a fenti tálcán is találhatunk vezérlőt, illetve külön panelt kapott a saját alkalmazásokkal feltölthető lista is. Támogatott a szoftverben az osztott képernyő és a lebegő ablakos mód is, a nyurga képarány mindkettőnek kedvez.

A Nothing szabta át a legjobban az Androidot, a rájuk már indulás óta jellemző monokromatikus kezelőfelület egységes dizájnt, utólag letölthetően pedig bármely átlalunk telepített applikációra kiterjeszthető egységes színsémát ad, az egyedi widgetek egy része hasznos, más részük inkább csak jópofa és jól mutat az uniformizált minialkalmazások közt a kezdőképernyőn. Azt még nem sikerült eldöntenünk, hogy a magyarul csak “Híradós riporter”-nek nevezett widget, melyre kattintva a cég pénzügyi vezetője(!) néha kissé amatőr stílusban, hallhatóan egy irodában ülve felolvassa a napi, érdeklődésünk alapján előre kiválaszott hírkategória újdonságait, zseniális-e vagy csak szimplán bizarr, de mindenképp egyedi megoldás.

Kamera: A Pixel név régóta egyet jelent a prémium fotózási minőséggel, a Google sokszor kevesebb vagy régebbi kamera hardverből is képes volt jobbat kihozni konkurenseinél, a Pixel 8a esetében is elmondható, hogy ezen az árszinten az egyik legjobb, ha nem a legjobb kamerás mobilt kapjuk kézhez, de ez nem jelenti azt, hogy a másik három versenyzőnek szégyenkeznie kéne. A Sony továbbra sem a népszerű színsablonok és AI trükkök bevetésével dolgozik, a színek itt nem lesznek annyira ütősek és “instagram kompatibilisek”, de a főkamera jó vonalélességgel, nagyjából teljesen természetes színekkel dolgozik. Mindegyik versenyző kapott ultraszéles látószögű kamerát is, de autofókuszt egyik esetben sem találunk ezekhez, így makró módról még a középmezőny  ezen részén még le kell mondanunk. A Motorola az egyetlen a tesztmodellek közül, amelyik rendelkezik telefotó lencsével, mellyel jobb portré fotók és 3x-os optikai zoom is elérhető, míg a Nothingnál arra esküsznek, hogy minden kamerát 50 megapixeles maximum felbontással látnak el, amelyekből a rendszer átlagolással 12 megapixeles képeket készít. Szelfik terén is a Pixel a nyerő, a Nothing, a Sony és a Motorola nagyjából azonosan teljesít, (de ez az össz kamerás teljesítményre is elmondható).

Üzemidő: A Sony és a Nothing 5000 mAh-ás akksit kínál, a Pixel 4492, a Motorola pedig 4310 mAh-ás telepet kapott, cserébe még a Moto is bírja egy napig, noha a kis telep mérete itt érződik meg a legjobban. Üzemidőben a Sony a saját optimalizálásával az abszolút bajnok, magasan a mezőny felett teljesít, amiben nyilván a takarékos hardver is sokat segít. Töltésben viszont a japán gyártó és a Pixel hozza a legalacsonyabb teljesítményt,  ezek a készülékek csupán 30 wattal etethetőek, míg a Nothing 50, a Moto 68 wattal veszi fel a gyortsöltést. Ha a vezeték nélküliség fontos, akkor csak a Motorola és a Pixel jöhet számításba.

Összegzés: Négy gyártó, négy eltérő elképzelés arról, hogy mit és hogyan érdemes kapnunk a pénzünkért, ha a 200.000-es határt nem nagyon szeretnénk átlépni. Dizájnban egyértelműen a Motorola Edge 50 Neo a leglátványosabb a mezőnyben, szoftveres oldalról pedig talán a legsokoldalúbb. Mindkét téren közel áll hozzá a cyberpunkos Nothing Phone 2a, de - ahogy a gyártó valamennyi készülékére jellemző, itt is - a dizájn és a többiektől való látványos eltérés lehetett a tervezők hívószava, ezzel együtt is azért egy kompetens készüléket tettek le az asztalra. A “közel iPhone élmény” - amit azért valljuk be, egy androidos mezőnyben kissé szokatlan, sőt egyesek szerint akár szentségtörés is lenne kimondani - a Pixel 8a ismérve, jó és hosszú szoftveres támogatás mellett remek fotós képességek és egy kellemes dizájn, de ezen felül csak azokat az izgalmakat kapjuk a szoftvertől, amiket a keresőóriás úgy gondol, a gyártók egyedi trükkjeiről itt le kell mondanunk. Akik pedig az olyan klasszikusok iránt lelkesednek, mint az egykezes használat, a jack csatlakozó, a memóriakártyával bővíthető tárhely és megbarátkoznak a kissé koros hardver gondolatával, azoknak a Sony Xperia 10 VI az ideális választás.

Ja, es ist dicker als beim Pixel 8 und Pixel 8 Pro, aber ich finde es nicht störend und beeinträchtigt nicht die Funktionalität des Geräts. In gewisser Weise erinnert mich die Lünette an den schwarzen Ring um das Display der Pixel Watch. Du wirst es vielleicht zuerst bemerken, aber es ist leicht zu ignorieren.

Die Kombination aus Aluminium und Glas sorgt für ein glattes, schlankes Design. Gorilla Glass 3 bedeckt die Front, die mehrere Generationen alt ist. Das 8a verfügt über eine IP67-Bewertung wie das Pixel 7a, was gut ist, aber etwas weniger beeindruckend ist als die IP68-Bewertung für Pixel 8 und 8 Pro.
