yeah i’m really sorry anon, but i have a lot of reasons why i’m never joining the goosebumps fandom again. some of it is the fandom itself (a vast majority of which are children and i’m almost 30… lol) and some it is the embarrassment of my past behavior when i was in that fandom almost a decade ago. i’m just not the same person as i was and i’ve moved on and grown up a lot since then.
i didn’t exactly act my age, nor did i take nearly enough measures to conceal my nsfw account back then and i frankly do not look back fondly to those times. if there’s anyone out there still following me who remembers those days and if i’ve caused them any harm, i’d like to extend a wholehearted apology.
i still like goosebumps, i do! it has been a staple of my life since i was literally 3 years old, but i have no intention of drawing anything for it any time soon. i’m sorry!
Attention Goosebumps fandom!
Can someone help me find better quality versions of these two pictures?
The second picture is what shows on Netflix while loading episodes of the Goosebumps TV series. I’m not sure where the first picture is from I saw it on someone’s profile picture.
Both of these pictures intrigue me since the design of Slappy is from 2008 (my favourite cannon Slappy design) but I’ve never seen them alongside any of the promotional art from 2008. They’re not from any book art either to my knowledge.
If anyone finds the full pictures please let me know!
GOOSEBUMPS "BE PREPARED" Mini Project UPDATE
The lyrics are finished
The storyboard draft is halfway complete
I have just enough volunteers to make a chorus work
I will post the lyrics later as well as a demo recording of just me singing the song so you have an idea of how it sounds
If you are auditioning to voice for The Haunted Mask or Murder the Clown, please make a voice demo reading some lines the character says in their book or simply ramble on in your interpretation of the character's voice!
Also, please comment on your singing range(you may include more than one because I will have you sing your part in different pitches then:
Saprano— high range
Alto— Low Range
Tenor— Middle Range
CALLING THE GOOSEBUMPS FANDOM
.....
Curse @andeancondor21 for drawing this and giving me this idea........
(nahjustkiddingiloveyabae)
I’m getting back into storyboarding again by doing a quickie project of a GOOSEBUMPS version of Be Prepared done by Slappy and the monsters. I plan on having this fully voiced, but I need the chior/background singers for it, as well as some actors and actresses to say some quirks from the Haunted Mask and Murder (idky those two are my fave x.x)
You don’t have to be like an amazing singer to volunteer! Just comment/message me if you’d like to jump in on the fun so this can be something made by the Goosebumps community!!
R.L. Stine is Hosting his own late night talk show (Yes, THAT R.L. Stine)
R.L. Stine is trading in the screams for laughs as he hosts Night Late, UCB Chelsea’s late night talk show, on April 27th at 11pm. Despite being known for terrifying children with the Goosebumps series, “Bob” is not the dark man you might expect. In fact, he’s quite the opposite.
As Mr. Stine himself put it, “Most people don't realize that I was funny before I got scary. As Jovial Bob Stine, I wrote about a hundred joke books for kids.” After working through a few rehearsals, the show’s creator, Eric Cunningham, noted, “He's really a sweet, funny guy who just happens to write stories about terrifying monsters that kill teens.”
While die hard, New York comedy fans may know that Stine has done several comedy shows around the city before, Night Late will be the most intensive of his efforts so far. “I've appeared at comedy shows at UCB and The Pit, but usually as the straight man. This is my first time hosting,” said Stine.
But no Goosebumps show would be complete without some of Tim Jacobus’ iconic cover art. Tim graciously agreed to create an original Goosebumps cover to serve as the show’s monthly poster. Fans were thrilled to see the piece, but no one was more excited than Stine himself, “Are you kidding? Tim is my favorite artist. He gave Goosebumps its look. He's my hero.”
Night Late is a monthly comedy series at UCB Chelsea that builds a late night show around different performers each month. Past hosts include The Today Show’s Willie Geist, and The Nightly Show’s Grace Parra. See R.L. Stine on April 27th at 11:00PM at UCB Chelsea, $5 tickets available at the door or online.
