In my mind's eye, he was probably one of those kids who just hung out with his parents and/or their friends instead of playing with his peers, especially since they had Mechabot. Why would he need to make friends when he has the coolest friend right here?
And his parents saw this and started talking to Tok Aba like "hey we're really worried about boboiboy, he's not very social and only wants to play with Mechabot and i don't think that's good for him"
Meanwhile Tok Aba has this group of kiddos that just. screw around him while he's trying to work. So he's like "Hey there's some kids here his age that are all very friendly, I can make him socialize with them"
and he proceeds to tell all of said kids about Boboiboy and forces him to Socialize TM and he makes Friends

How do I tell people that my most favourite fanfiction ever is that one unfinished BoBoiBoy fanfiction on Wattpad about famous writer Ying and her dreams — that got written down in her laptop as her story drafts somehow whenever she woke up — of princess Yaya and peasant BoBoiBoy and his friend Gopal, where Fang — who's also her boss in real life and they kinda had the chemistry — was a prince and she was Yaya's maid, and Yaya and Fang were in an unwanted arrange marriage, but then shit were happening and BoBoiBoy and Yaya were in love since childhood and it felt like she would have ended up with Fang but then Ying's dream ended and the writer never updated the next chapter 😭😭😭😭
